Normally I would shudder at Hanako getting her head blown off, but the scenario is so random, over-the-top, and outright ridiculous that I really didn't have much of a reaction to that. I was entertained.

Define "normal". Rika isn't one of the main routes, so we know very little about her, it is entirely possible that some characters have those kinds of fetishes. I knew someone who did, and at the risk of sounding like a suicidal, bat-shit crazy guy, pain does have a sort of release to it....

This story is, I'm not sure how to explain it. I guess Doomish's trademark, over-the-top, gory, type of story. And I enjoyed, after all, I am one sadistic bastard. (Also, I am unsure what you mean by 'phase', would you kindly elaborate?) Presumably the "I'm going to have the characters do blood...

I liked it. If nothing else than it definitely defined the issues of augmentation very well, it told both sides of the story and every character had a believable opinion on the issue.

And usually, people who act like that in reaction to common, everyday words are placed in an environment where they do not have access to sharp objects... I think you're going a bit overboard ...

At page 49. I callcit boring now, but I'll probably fall in love with it later. It's just the teacher was reading it to us when everybody was like 10 pages ahead of her. She finally allowed us to take the book home but restricted us to reading up to chapter six. Oh hell yes English classes do that....
