more serious opinion, is that she simply developed hobbies that doesn't require direct interaction with other people.
but there is possibility that she might be one..
if her hobby were 'excessive gaming and web surfing', the odds could have increased.

Forgetting about the 'Katawa' part
while playing my favorite character's route on KS, I used to have this bizarre feeling that sometimes, I 'forget' about the disabilities of the girls. not that I actually forget the fact that Lily's blindness or Rin's armlessness. but it's like.. for example, even though Hanako's wounds are obvious ...

Re: Just finished KS華子.
Yes, "ko" is a specifically female diminutive suffix, so you could translate it that way. Do the KS team use those kanji for Emi's name? It's rather unorthodox, usually I see it written as "beautiful blessing" or something to that effect (the Japanese equivalent of naming someone "Faith" or "Grace ...

Re: Just finished KS華子.
little off track, 笑美(Emi) is a compounded word of 笑'smile' and 美'beautiful'.
which, again, suits with the character's personality perfectly.

Re: Just finished KS華子.
I should clarify that it's not perfectly translatable as "子" ("ko") is a diminutive suffix, which we don't have in English, so the closest one can get is "little". or 'flower girl'. though i thought Hanako's kanji would be 花子 the whole time. (花 and 華 essentially mean the same, and sound the same. bu ...

Re: The Devotion Sickness
On the second playthrough, though, Emi bumped into me in the hallway (see attached). I muttered to myself, "how am I supposed to NOT love that?" Cue puppy eyes. I played Emi's route again. on my second playthrough of KS, I was on Hanako's route. And I couldn't help but turn my eyes away from ...

Re: The Devotion Sickness
i've felt the exact same feeling after Emi's route. it took me a solid month to even try to try other character's route, Hanako's. ending felt good and now i like Hanako much more than before. but still Emi's got my dearest heart. yeah, she's my favorite. what i suggest you is just don't forget the ...

Re: Your first ending?
Emi. I did intend to go on her path from the beginning, but wasn't sure I was going on her path.
her good ending. I did indeed intend to see her good ending, but wasn't sure I was going to see the good ending.
yah it all surprisingly worked out well.

Re: I'm thinking about translating KS
oh so it seems like much more complicated than i thought. being a native korean speaker, I just thought it'd be a lot of fun translating a novel that I love, into another language that i'm familiar with. I wasn't planning to release it in public or make it official, more likely just enjoying the ...

I'm thinking about translating KS
Into Korean, or Japanese. I think that'd be fun. as of now I'm not planning to translate the whole game, just act 1 and Emi's arc, or also Hanako's if i have sufficient time. since i am aware that there already is Japanese translation of act 1 out, only Emi's route if i'll be trying Japanese. and ...

Re: Have you dated someone like any KS character?
maybe I'm wishing I could see a good ending, of the Hanako I used to love. We've all been there. If we haven't, we will. I feel the saying "Wish in one hand, shit in the other, and see which one fills up first." applies well here, cynical expression that it is. Wishing's no good if it drags you ...

Re: Have you dated someone like any KS character?
Just finished Hanako's arc. She does very much remind me of my ex-girlfriend, in a number of different ways. Like her personality, appearance (minus the scars, plus skin problems), personal atmosphere, how she sees at herself and such. It's been almost a year since the last time I saw her, but still ...
