Career Day

Post by pandaphil »

So with high school wrapping up, and everyone thinking of college, what do you suppose the cast will end up doing with their lives? Apart from playing housewife to Hisao that is.

Hisao - Science teacher

Lilly - English teacher.

Hanako - Newspaper or Book publishing

Emi - Pro track star. Maybe the Olympics, or coaching.

Shizune - Vice president of some big company.

Rin - Errr....hmmm.... If she doesn't manage to recosile her art with 'selling' herself, I honestly have no idea what she could do.

Any other ideas?

...VICE president? Your lack of ambition infuriates Shizune.

I'd like to think Hanako would go into counseling work helping trauma cases similar to hers.

I'm pretty stuck on Kenji and Miki.
Maybe Kenji would join the military...?
For some odd reason, I can't help but imagine Rin wearing some fast food joint's uniform.

Hisao - Instructor for new people at Aperture Science
Lilly - English Teacher
Shizune - CEO at some big-ass company. Probably her dad's after wrestling control of the company away from him.
Misha - Shizune's... secretary.
Emi - Apart from being a kickass sports star, she'd probably work as a coach for a sports team. I could in theory see her become a PE teacher, too.
Hanako - Editor at a large publishing company.
Rin - Game designer.
The strength of heart to face oneself has been made manifest. The persona Carighan has appeared.

I really like the idea of Emi as a P.E. teacher.
When I was in high school, taking P.E., we would always bring up our health problems as excuses and always want to give up. My own excuse was asthma.
We were sure that our super fit P.E. teachers didn't understand our laziness "pain".
I think Emi would have knocked the laziness right out of us.

Hisao: Science Teacher. Whenever he thinks far enough ahead during some routes, this is what he usually comes down to.

Lilly: English Teacher. She outright states this as a goal in her route.

Hanako: I agree with editor or working for a publishing company. Otherwise, I could see her going into creative writing, possibly ghost writing if she still doesn't handle attention well. It'd be kinda fitting that a person who has trouble expressing herself to others finds a way to indirectly express her feelings and thoughts to the rest of the world.

Shizune: She said she wanted to be into philanthropy, but that's what you usually do when you've already made a fortune for yourself. She'd eventually want to be a CEO or something, thought that'd be still kind of difficult in Japanese culture where many still consider the ideal role of a woman to be a homemaker.

Emi: PE teacher. She has the perfect attitude for it.

Rin: Honestly, I'm not really sure.
Sisterhood: True Edition. Hanako epilogue I wrote. Now expanded with additional chapters.

Rin probably needs a bit more help, with someone else at a career fair with her. Shizune wants to bust a double glass ceiling, and Hanako is waiting to write up a storm.

It's good to be young.

What if her daughter was in her class and she asked "Mommy, why do you still have twintails?" And she responded(not so quietly) because your father likes to have handle bars dear. That would be awkward as hell to a 3rd grade class.
