Error in the very beginning.

In the very beginning of Katawa Shoujo after Hisao gets his heart problem from being asked out and everything becomes black, it stops working. It always becomes unresponsive and I've re-installed it as well. Anyone know how I may fix this? Should I uninstall and then reinstall again?

Sounds like that's where the introduction video is supposed to start. I assume you're running it on Windows, which means I can only guess. But if video won't play, it may be a codec issue. I'm not exactly sure what KS uses, but Ren'Py movie problems do appear more often. Maybe a generic search for that will get you a result.

I have the same issue with this game. I have a Windows XP, and every time I play the game, right after the first scene when the opening video plays, the video freezes and the sound repeats like a broken record and I have to close the game. Same thing happens when I play the opening video in the extras. Please advise what can be done to fix the problem. Thank you.
