Stem Cell Treatment?
Re: Stem Cell Treatment?
In theory stem cells should be able to heal ANY damage, the whole point is that they are capable of becoming any other cell that might be needed, be it liver, skin or brain. It's possible you could grow a complete bone inside someone with them in fact, which would be totally awesome for me.

Well in that case at least they could harvest it for someone else who just so happens to be my blood type, my (tall) height, and who has damage to their left femur. I'm sure they've got a few dozen people like that who would jump at the chance of taking it off my hands.

Maybe not, but writing a political position on your panties is.russianspy1234 wrote:because someone being against something that would help them and/or a bunch of people they care about is completely unrealistic?
Also, this is part of why I think 'Mike Huckabee for President' would have been better to put there.

I think having the panties say "bush" would have been funnier.

Re: Stem Cell Treatment?
see i understand people against stem cell research, however i don't get their argument. A human female is born with a million or so(?) eggs losing many of them before they even hit puberty. average supposedly around 400, 000 by then. losing 1000 a month between then and menopause. That includes the one that's released into the system. Average family raises 2 children. So regardless of whether or not said eggs are used for research, or after that actual application, those are according to people against such practice "Smothered lives" or more accurately "potential people who weren't given a choice to live." such potential people of course who would not have been born anyways.

It's in the CG where she's clashing with Lilly. You can't really see it unless you enlarge the picture or some such.

I think this thread has run its course. Good show on the thread not becoming overly bogged down in politics/ethics, though.
