My fan art...
I just want to know what people think. Maybe some suggestions to do more.

Yeah, didn't come out that well on paper and I didn't change it when I lined it for some reason.Yuurei wrote:I think it's ok, just maybe the expression.

When I look at your DA name I just picture Hollowfied-KS characters.
Rin=Hanako>Emi>Misha>Lilly>Shizune (Misha counts in my world alright; and now she surpassed Lilly)
Fanfic series entitled... A Day in the Life of [character name here] (updated 6/8/10)
Random writings and Crossover... New stuff of Neuman (updated 5/6/11)
It's time to Duel... KS Yugioh Deck (updated 3/16/11)

It's a good start. You did an okay job on the shading on the clothes and hair, so it's not flat and lifeless. However, you a) Missed the Fan Art subforum and b) the pose looks straight out of the VN and is a bit boring.

Sorry I didn't know there was one.ThreeStep wrote:It's a good start. You did an okay job on the shading on the clothes and hair, so it's not flat and lifeless. However, you a) Missed the Fan Art subforum and b) the pose looks straight out of the VN and is a bit boring.
I'm still an amateur artist and need to refer to the original, as I get better I'll add different poses.

Nothing wrong with using references.
In fact, I'd recommend using a photo as a pose reference, and just look at the character sprites to get all the costume/hair/face details.

Sounds like a good idea. I'll try that with my next drawing probably.Sajomir wrote:Nothing wrong with using references.

Looking forward to it! If you need some good places to find photos, gettyimages.com dreamstime.com and even something like Flickr works well. ^^
