How did I find myself here?.. Jesus,, It's so hazy because it's been such a long time.. I remember the first time I clicked " Katawa-Shoujo.com"

But how I found it is a blur.. OH! .

At the beginning of this year I got interested in VNs because another forum-member on 4players often mentioned them in his posts and after a bit research I thought that this genre would be great for me. So I asked him for some good ones and he suggested KS Act1 as an access. And I really liked it so I visited the forum after getting 100% and became part of it (okay, a bit exaggerating when I look at my postcount^^).
And so I have been waiting since that day, passing time with other VNs.
Reminds me...still have to finish the Heavens Feel route...

I'm not sure I mentioned, but my younger brother found this game on... fakku. At their video games section. I didn't play a first couple months before trying cause I was all like "no, wait... cripples... I'm scared to try".

Oh, Lord, how I got here? What a convoluted story (just like how I find out about most of my fandoms), but here goes. So, about a week ago I was bored in the middle of the night, scrolling through my favorites. I came across some of the music I had favorited from Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog--in particular, "A Brand New Day". In it, Dr. Horrible sings about how "And she [Penny] may cry but her tears will dry when I hand her a Shiny New Australia!" I remember thinking--being the Troper that I am--"Hey, isn't there a trope for "Shiny New Australia" that this song named? There is. I'm scrolling down the examples bit until I hit the Video Games section, and the mention of Katawa Shoujo. I read it, look at the fanart that's linked there (that's probably the biggest reason why I didn't just pass it by), and, intrigued, I click to the Katawa Shoujo Tvtropes page. The premise sounded absolutely intriguing so I went to the main site, downloaded the first Act, and thoroughly and completely enjoyed it. And now I'm here because I don't do the whole "obsession" thing halfway.

I have known of Katawa Shoujo for at least 2 years, or so, thanks to random posts in 4chan. I never really paid it too much attention since I wasn't into Visual Novels at that time. Then, last year, I started to get interested on them, and some weeks ago I remembered about this one so I gave it a go. Being as pleased as I was with the demo, and excited for future releases, I started searching for more info on it, and then I found these forums.

Friend from school told me about this. I really wasn't interested at all and was a bit turned off (i mean, 4chan, cripples, and porn?). Anyway, the guy kept on talking about it, and it finally caught my interest. I was curious about it, but I wasn't sure if I'd like a visual novel (never played one) and especially one about cripple porn. So I went on fakku and downloaded the cutest-looking one I saw (Wanko to Kurasou... yeah...). I ended up liking the visual novel type of thing so I tried out Katawa Shoujo. I thought, yeah, this is cool, the characters are interesting (though I absolutely hated Shizune and to a lesser extent Misha at first), and I started going to find out more about when the full version would be released and stuff and decided to check around the forum.

For those of you wondering, that 'friend from school' would be me.

Anyways, I stumbled across KS on TV Tropes one day. Week or two later I got sick and couldn't do much, so I thought "What the hell?" and gave it a shot. Beat all paths and wrote a review in one day.

I was browsing /b/ late one night when there was some thread with a guy ranting about feminist conspiracies. In other words, someone was posting 'as' Kenji.

Played along with it for a while, lulz ensued and it became somewhat of an epic thread.
I searched Kenji's full name on google, wound up here.

Played it, loved it. made a topic asking if 4leaf intended to finish it.

Got permabanned. 7 months passed. Returned here 2 days ago, found i was unbanned, began posting again. Cautiously.
