After recently playing through Shizune's route, I became curious about the art teacher...

Detour Ahead

Misha: "She tried, but even though Shicchan is deaf, he'll try to say 'hi~!' anyway!"

A tone of finality so strong that I can pick it up even through Misha. I can see there is no use pursuing this further with Shizune.

From here it's shown that Shizune obviously doesn't get along with the art teacher that always 'greets' her.

At that moment, Shizune steps back into the room, looking slightly annoyed and sipping offhandedly from a juicebox.

Shizune: "..."

She throws two boxes of tacks on the floor with a wry smile.

Shizune: "...!"

Misha: "Ah, Shicchan."

Misha opens her mouth to speak, but then quickly closes it as Shizune suddenly crumples her juicebox with a crunch like sound of breaking bones.

Shizune: "...!"

Shizune: "..."

Shizune: "...!"

I can tell that each harsh, quaking hand gesture is most likely an epithet.

Hisao: "What's she saying?"

Misha: "It was just very hard to get these..."

Shizune: "...!"

Misha: "I guess that is an understatement, Shicchan..."

Shizune calms down a bit, straitening her glasses and lightly brushing her bangs back with one finger.

Shizune: "..."

"It really wasn't a big deal in retrospect? That's forward thinking of you!"

If we assume the tacks is considered an art supply of sort or handled largely by the art teacher... And she had 'difficulties' getting the tacks.

Theory be cliche teacher molester, going through Rin's route doesn't help improve Nomiya's seeming...

I thought that too at first, which is what made me think I was over thinking it. Though really I probably am since I went as far as to look this up...

Rin shrugs non commitally, but it still gives an impression of her general displeasure at the idea of having to discuss her painting, or any painting, with other people.

Or maybe he still tries to talk to Shizune even though he has been told she is deaf, and this fact just annoys her. Although your idea doesn't sound too far-fetched even if it is a little bit cliche'.

OR Nomiya is just passionate about discovering a genius artist student.

I'd understand this, I'd be thrilled as a teacher to get to find a brilliant student, a pearl among crap. I actually seen this some times, that specially gifted, skilled students get to represent the school and such, so they stick around a lot with their main teachers. They rather end up being closer to that teacher then other students, but molesting... that's extreme.
