You sure about that? My...cousin's full name was published in newspapers when he killed both his parents and a neighbor that came to investigate. That's where I got the idea for the newspaper article.

Well, that's how they do it where I live. Something about protecting the family of the perpetrator - though I don't think it helps much...

For juveniles, I've seen it go either way, but for something as sensitive as an abortive school shooting, they'd probably publish his name to appease parents who'd be out for blood.
