Misha's disabillity?
Re: Misha's disabillity?
According to what you've said, that just makes me think Misha is the KS equivalent of Boxxy

Re: Misha's disabillity?
in any case continuing in the proper thread,
ADHD, she definitely has it. Could just be a minor case like a friend of mine, you cant really tell unless you're monitoring him constantly. And as i stated in my post in the "Misha's Future" thread it probably is not her main disability.

Re: Misha's disabillity?
So I don't think this has been brought up yet... maybe Misha's disability is the inability to have children? As in, for whatever reason, she is barren? I don't know about Japan, but in America this is legally considered a disability. Depending on the cause for it, maybe Misha has internal conditions that require being monitored and nearby the medical staff.
She seems to get around fine most of the time, and as far as we know she doesn't suffer any sort of "attacks" like Hisao. Her cheerful attitude could be forced, or at least used as a way to cope with her situation.

Yeah, that would be sad. But she has such good child-bearing hips. I'm sure that one day, she will have lots of drill-haired kids who will be just as annoying as their mother.

Inability to have children is a reason to be sent to a cripple school?

Well, this is Japan we are talking about now. If the world of anime is to be believed, girls who cannot become pregnant are a priceless resource, sought after with much vigor by countless gangs of rape happy creepers. Going to a place where all the guys have less legs and arms then you is the only way to be safe.
Of course, her parents didn't count on the girls... hmmm.

I signed up just to post my theory... God, i'm becoming a fan of KS ><
Anyway, i don't know if that was posted yet, i have been to lazy to check the whole thread, but what about a nerve disease?
Being french, i might have trouble to explain the medical stuff in english, but i found three interesting hints:
The first one is her dizzyness whenever she takes stairs, that many of you took for an inner ear trouble. I saw it earlier on the thread, i actually don't remember it in-game.
The two others are minor spoilers of Shizune's route I think:
-She has a bad aiming: she tells it when she asks Hisao to throw a ball for her.
-She is clumsy enough to make mistakes while dialing a phone number: Hisao notices it when she orders food.
I found other things as well, but I don't remember them. Now, maybe I watch House MD too much, but I would bet on a degenerative nerve disease, like Huntington's or Parkinson's. She was diagnosed with it and is now treated to minimize the effects on her life when she gets older.

That or... she's complete normal.
Or, oh god, a lot of my friends have Parkinson's or Huntington's. Run tot he hills.
But there is a possibility that she has some crafty "inner disability" like Hisao. We'll see.

Re: Misha's disabillity?
I'm subscribing to the fact that either Misha is completely normal, or just has a flaw that her parents interpreted as a disability. This could be anything: Too loud, too active, too lesbian. It could also serve as a point to address not only the concept of a disability, but on the views of what would count for one. Maybe.
I still think those drills have something to do with it, like an alien symbiote or something.

Re: Misha's disabillity?
Good point to consider; I'm sure most people familiar with the cliche of sending "problem" children to military boarding schools to "straighten them out". Could a parents inability to deal with a child lead to classification as a disability and shipping them off to a school for the disabled?ContinualNaba wrote:I'm subscribing to the fact that either Misha is completely normal, or just has a flaw that her parents interpreted as a disability. Re: Misha's disabillity?
Given the nature of Japanese society, there's a good chance of it. Not restricted to Japan, of course, but still a definite possibility.Good point to consider; I'm sure most people familiar with the cliche of sending "problem" children to military boarding schools to "straighten them out".
