As I type this post, it is currently March 13th. On that note, it says on http://katawa-shoujo.com/characters.php#rin that March 13th is Rin Tezuka’s Birthday! Let us congratulate the first artist that comes to everyone’s mind (besides Picaso) by showing our appreciation for her! HAPPY BIRTHDAY RIN!

Something tells me it'll be brought up at some point in the story, since that's just too much of a coincidence for it to not be. Probably just in passing though, since Act 1 takes place in the late summer/early fall (iirc) and March would be a bit of a stretch for the 3ish-month timeframe.
