The one that had loads of h-scenes was the one who only did drugs once.bitpeg wrote:She was on drugs for like, more than half the game.G3n0c1de wrote:but there are a TON of porn scenes. Seriously, on one of the girl's paths there are like 8 of them.
The one who had drug-problems only had like 5 scenes.(Only, hah)
Re: Babies and STDs.
YMK had at least more or less reasonable stories why the girls wanted/needed this much sex.
There is nothing more laughable than implementing such stuff in a work of entertainment that happens to touch upon the subject of sex. There is a reason the full game is meant for people over the age of 18 or 21. When you're old enough to drink, old enough to vote, old enough to own a gun and old enough to be potty-trained you do not need to be warned of teenage pregnancy and STDs.
What's the next thread about? Someone who wants Katawa Shoujo bundled with registration papers for organ donors?
And I agree here.Pooh-Bah wrote:Oh god.
Do we really need this kind of drama?

Ahh, Morticia? I would die for her. I would kill for her. Either way, what bliss.

Yeah, I LOVED the scene with Kouhei at the counter and Nekoko doing 'stuff' to him. Just because Tsubaki's reaction is one of those moments you'd never want to forget.bitpeg wrote:She was on drugs for like, more than half the game.G3n0c1de wrote:but there are a TON of porn scenes. Oh that game, i've herd of that. (just not refereed to as YMK)G3n0c1de wrote:YMK: Yume Miru Kusuri: A Drug That Makes You Dream. I recommend playing it.
Aw the 80's..90's, when ever that show was made. I remember one of my teachers forced us to watch the original series as part of 'move day'. Also all those 'after school specials' that seemed to be big...that no one watched.cpl_crud wrote:Lol, Degrassi Junior/Senior High.
I feel sad for the people that had to write a teen drama when AIDS was becoming a problem.

They can't do it worse than Suzuka did. Mostly because Suzuka is a raging bitch and the KS girls aren't.Pooh-Bah wrote:Oh god.

Umm, guys... I was mostly thinking about this from the point of view of bad ends and stuff. Not to create drama about the hazards of teenage sex.
But meh. I'll just quit here, before the devs get the false impression that I'm trying to affect their work or phish script details from them, don't feel like getting B&.

Re: Babies and STDs.
I think we understood your point but it is naught because this is a ren'ai game. "True Love" is just a big ideal and with the big lies come the smaller ones like no STDs and no unhappy pregnancies.Shockproof Jamo wrote:Umm, guys... In all seriousness, STDs are most certainly out of the question. Act 1 depicts a very linear story no matter what choices you have made. Every path does not exclude the characterisation or development that could have been seen in another path, meaning that KS is not comprised of several entirely different and seperate stories but a small universe in which every path is possible and plausible.
If one girl or Hisao has an STD it must be a big plot device rather than a bad end. Since he or she must have it from the beginning. Aside from that, suddenly developing a STD is also unlikely with a student body that is fixated on its own health.
And pregnancies as a bad end? No way! A baby is always a symbol of hope and preseverance. Abortions and miscarriages, though ...
Ahh, Morticia? I would die for her. I would kill for her. Either way, what bliss.
Re: Babies and STDs.
I thought the devs said that Act 1 was more or less supposed to introduce us to all the characters and we pick which path we want to follow for the rest of the game. I am under the impression that after Act 1 the paths will diverge quite a bit and become unique.
It's a good thing Shizune is deaf, she is the only one who can stand (not) hearing "Wahaha~!" over and over.
Re: Babies and STDs.
The stories are unique and very much independent, but sometimes things are shared between paths or some subset of them so the stories are interlinked. These are mostly things that Hisao's life and choices have no effect on, for example something like Misha getting abducted by aliens would happen in every path.
Because we have 5 writers, each writing their own scenario instead of 1 scenarist to plan the whole thing, this kind of thing is a necessity.

Re: Babies and STDs.
Yes. that's what I wanted to say while also underlining that, for example, the Shizune in Lilly's scenario is still the same person as in the real Shizune path. Noone is suddenly gonna develop tentacles or sprout wings, complete with halos, completely unrelated to their own main scenario.G3n0c1de wrote:I thought the devs said that Act 1 was more or less supposed to introduce us to all the characters and we pick which path we want to follow for the rest of the game. Now, substitute tentacles and wings with STDs and my train of thought might become a little bit clearer.
