Alternate pairings, eh?
Here's a few for you:

• Hanako x Emi: For starters, the two have contrasting personalities which would make them a joy to see, and they could have a dark/light theme going on (their signature colours purple and green even work together). In addition, both girls are similar in that they've both been traumatized by a past event that changed them as people, and whose routes give you the bad ending if you try to play white knight with them. Emi's upbeat, almost whimsical personality would be just the thing to help Hanako overcome her anxieties, and Hanako's gentle nature would help put Emi at ease and also allow her to support Emi during her nightmares.

• Shizune x Kenji: This one was inspired by The Summit, one of the best scenes in the Shizune route. Shizune being taken in by Kenji's confident ranting despite being unable to hear him has made me think that perhaps on some level, Kenji secretly wants to be dominated by her. For someone like Kenji, to be dominated by his enemy -the queen nay, the goddess empress of all Yamaku Academy feminists- would be the highest honour. Their unholy union, borne of Kenji being tied to a chair and interrogated leads into the crossing of the rubicon, and the sacrifice of personal honor and values in the chase for the hedonistic merger of human bodies. Kenji enjoys being dominated by Shizune, and when she whispers chicken in Spanish in his ear, Kenji busts the fattest nut in his life, the nut to end all nuts, causing him to travel several decades into the future into a glorious utopia where he and Shizune shall rule as King and Queen of the new Kingdom of Yamuku. Their love shall transcendent time itself, and to think, to think that it all began in Hisao's bedroom.

And now for another terrible, godawful crack pairing: Hisao x Jigoro.
On that fateful day, Shizune brought her new boyfriend Hisao home to meet her family. Her father Jigoro scrutinized the young man, and brought him down to the basement. The basement is but a neat facsimile of Hell, a hot room where the floor is boiling, burning coals covered with a thin layer of metal mesh. Jigoro locks the basement door and hands Hisao a cheap metal sword before he unsheathes his own katana and challenges Hisao to what is known as the Trial of Fire. If Hisao can beat him in a duel, then he is free to go. If he loses, he will be hardened with F I R E.

Hisao tries to fight Jigoro in a sword duel and loses. Jigoro orders the young man to strip naked and get on his hands and knees.
He will hardened with F I R E. Jigoro sheathes his katana in favour of unsheathing his other sword. Jigoro then grabs a bottle of extremely spicy hot sauce and greases his pork sword with it before impaling Hisao on his hot sauce flavoured pork sword. Hisao screams loudly, his ass burning from the pain. He screams so loudly that Shizune, Hideaki, and Misha can hear him. Hideaki is crying in Shizune's bosom as Shizune has war flashbacks of her ex-boyfriends undergoing the Trial of Fire. Misha does not emote, for she does not envy Hisao's position.

Hisao continues to scream, his throat in pain as Jigoro continues his thrusting. He praises Hisao, claiming that his ass is tighter than his dead wife's pussy. Hisao's ass continues to burn and this point, he's not sure if Jigoro is Shizune's father, the Devil or both. Once Jigoro finishes, Hisao feels Jigoro's burning man magma flow inside him, and he screams so hard that he's nearly sure that death has come for him. Jigoro pulls out and pats Hisao on the back, telling the young man that he has passed the Trial of Fire, and that he is worthy of being Shizune's boyfriend before unlocking the basement door, and ordering Hisao to drink a liter of water to combat his dehydration.

Another two for the road:

• Kenji x Lily: Out of all the women in Yamaku Academy, it's clear that Kenji respects Lily and of course, their different degrees of blindness give them a common challenge against the world. However, if Kenji ever steps out of line, Lily will be sure to put him in his place. Lily will be gentle but firm, and her sex drive is something that a young man like Kenji can only dream of. And who knows, maybe Lily will showcase her secret dominant side, and allow her pet conspiracy theorist to call her mistress.

• Kenji x Sae: Yes, a crack ship, and one which won't descend into the fiery pits of crack fic hell. Nomiya may know a lot of about Sae, but he doesn't know everything. In her checkered past, Sae was an underground nude model, her body being the envy of women everywhere in the art world. Despite the years going by, her years of experience haven't wavered a bit.
  In a twist of fate when investigating a lead given to him by Rin (in which he allegedly repaided her by sending her a sack of potatoes, much to Emi's frustration), he encounter the illusive empress Sae. Their meeting would change the course of Kenji's life, for he learned from Sae everything she knows about sex through their friendship of the thighs.
  With this knowledge, Kenji would rename himself Don Kenjote, and would lead his kingly conquests across Yamaku Academy. In these conquests, he would deflower young maidens and retain his integrity even as his feminist foes would dominate his penis. The feminists wish to suppress the coming of Don Kenjote, the Knight of the Popping Cherry and now redouble their efforts now that the legendary knight has taken Hisao Nikai under his wing as his new squire.
