Mei is the main character of the fan fiction, and is legally blind. Currently she uses a white cane to get around. At the start, her personality is not much to be desired. She is very negative, complains a lot, and could possibly be wanting to end it all. Before she lost her vision or before it was crippled, she was a writer. That was her passion, it was even a part of her schedule. Now she believes it is taken away from her. It is like someone took half of her soul.
