Perhaps he wanted to propose wearing the same outfit he met her in? Can't explain Rin's outfit though, it probably just comes down to weird future fashion plus a weird person.

Turns out the laboratory he works for now also so happens to have green pants/white shirt/black tie as a uniform. D'oh!

ah, yeah I was planning on doing a set for all of them...

Rin using Suu as a bean bag chair
Emi racing with Papi
Shizune and Rachnee playing a game with a tied up Hisao as the prize
Misha and Mero riding a tricycle together (geddit?)

Hmm... I always associated Emi with Miia (fastest thing on no legs), and Rin with Papi (uses her feet/claws as hands, and can be a bit flighty :wink: ).
Shizune/Rachnee and Misha/Mero are :D in my book, though.
