There's a female character in this upcoming movie who is amputated below the knee, and her prosthetics have blades.

I'm sad to say, but the physics of nanchaku just don't work without arms - you need to catch them (with a hand or armpit) rather than flailing them wildly.
Lilly: In terms of practicality, Lilly would use a shikomizue for sure. But I also struggle to see her with anything other than a bokken. Why a bokuto and not a shinken? I can't say. Maybe too much risk of cutting herself, but its elegant curves seem to suit her. She also strikes me as the type who might use poison, and serve it in tea with a polite smile and a small bow.
Emi would definitely be the type to get in there quick and enthusiastically slash away, darting in and out. I think someone said cutlass or sabre - that would definitely suit her perfectly, as would the katars!
I concur that Hanako would be too timid for up-close fighting, but I think a bow would suit her wonderfully.
I think Rin is indeed the sort to cause chaos rather than fight directly. Setting up trip-mines and land-mines, maybe complex nets and other traps would be her thing.
Shizune: As others have stated, Sniper Rifle seems to be the only weapon for Shizune. But if she did have to fight close quarters, I get the feeling she'd be the sort to use a paralyzing projectile, then walk up to you while you're helpless to ensure you acknowledge her tactical superiority.
PS: Satouichi XD I can't believe I never thought of that.

To paraphrase one of many famous Churchill quotes:Xin wrote: Lilly: In terms of practicality, Lilly would use a shikomizue for sure. But I also struggle to see her with anything other than a bokken. Lilly: "Kenji, if you were my husband, I'd poison your tea."
Kenji: "Lilly, if I were your husband, I'd drink it.”
I like all the girls in KS, but empathize with Hanako the most.

If you can catch them with armpits, Rin should be fine.Xin wrote:I'm sad to say, but the physics of nanchaku just don't work without arms - you need to catch them (with a hand or armpit) rather than flailing them wildly.
The real question is who among them would use that weird new lightsaber from the episode seven trailer.

Do lightsabers come in Pink? Mishith is on the the way!
Lilly = Rin > Hanako > Emi > Misha > Shizune

So I recently got into this MOBA exclusive for iPads called Vainglory, aaaaand... (CAUTION, LARGE IMAGE, OPEN IMAGE IN NEW TAB FOR MAXIMUM VISIBILITY)
The comparison had to be made, as far-fetched as it is.
Spunky? Check.
Petite? Check.
Fun loving? Check.
Murders you when you mess with her? Check.
Case in point, I can TOTALLY see Emi riding a battlemecha.

I'm quite sure Nomiya would choose a Sai if he had a choice.
Post-Yamaku, what happens? After The Dream is a mosaic that follows everyone to the (sometimes) bitter end.

Cool! Choose a weapon like Excalibur it can destroy a city in just one splash.

I wonder who's best suited for the Physalis...?
