Re: what are the best quotes from the game?
"Present is a fleeting and vague concept at best.
The moment between the past and future?
It doesn't mean anything.
Thinking too much about things that don't make much sense is a waste of time.
That's why living through the present is always the best option.
Besides, for us who can't foresee the future and who forget the past too
Easily, present is really the only proof of our existence.
Even though existence will go on even if you forget about it for a while,
it's good to seize the day at least every once in a while.
That way...you can confirm that you are in fact..

Re: your favorite quotes
Rin: "Don't worry about it."
Hisao: "I will."
Hisao: "I will."
Re: what are the best quotes from the game?
The entirety of the last scene on Rin's worst ending. Actually, almost everything Rin said. Seriously, I'd like to meet Aura and give him the biggest brohug.
Also good:
"I like my butt" - Kenji
"I'll devour you!" - Shizune
"That's why I walk around leaving open jars of olives everywhere. Sometimes just to show I can." - Kenji
"Bitches everywhere." - Kenji
"Wait...I'm Misha..." - Misha
"Do you have any drugs? Or a time machine?" - Rin

Re: what are the best quotes from the game?
I find Hisao's dark sarcasm to be quite amusing Just been going through Rin's route again (it's been ages since I've gone through any route, it's always nice to return to it and think 'THAT'S why I like this so much!' AGH, digression) and where Hisao goes 'I'll be more likely than not dead before turning thirty, while she can't eat orange without help. I can't decide which one of us is worse off' my immediate reaction was laughter, and then thinking about how low Hisao must feel for that to be a thought process.

The noise that happens right after that freaks me out. That whole part had a very unsettling effect, appropriately enough.CaveRave wrote:"Kenji's face seems to be becoming smaller though, which is a bit of a relief.

"I should go somewhere too, to prevent myself from getting lost."
Mostly because it makes not a lick of sense.

So basically, like 90% of what Rin says?HarvestmanMan wrote:"I should go somewhere too, to prevent myself from getting lost."

I think the writing for Rin's arc is probably the most beautiful writing in the whole game.Tyrael wrote:So basically, like 90% of what Rin says?HarvestmanMan wrote:"I should go somewhere too, to prevent myself from getting lost."

"She pauses for a while to ponder my question…"
"…and shrugs her shoulders."
"It almost makes me laugh."
"The carefree easiness of her gesture is a lovely thing, a sign of how Rin can, truly and really, without any restraints whatsoever, shed the entire weight of the world from her shoulders, should she will so."
"She is, in every possible and probably a few impossible ways… free."
"And I think I might love her for that."

That makes perfect sense though. Unlike Kenji's bullshit, which is sadly believed by at least a few handfuls of actual humans.HarvestmanMan wrote:"I should go somewhere too, to prevent myself from getting lost."

Re: what are the best quotes from the game?
Eh, I thought her arc was a bit painful to get through from a reader's standpoint.brythain wrote:I think the writing for Rin's arc is probably the most beautiful writing in the whole game.
But, if you look at it from an aesthetical perspective, then hell yes, Rin's arc as a whole contains some of the best writing I've seen so far in a visual novel. It's clever, it's thoughtful and the way it flows is fantastic, considering the fact that she's a character who can't really express herself the way she wants to. It's awkward yet endearing at the same time.
I was impressed with Aura's writing and I hope I'll have the pleasure to read something else written by him in the (near) future.
Re: what are the best quotes from the game?
Agreed. She needs to go somewhere familiar, so she doesn't get lost in the unfamiliar. I don't see that as a particularly odd concept.Charmant wrote:That makes perfect sense though.HarvestmanMan wrote:"I should go somewhere too, to prevent myself from getting lost."
