Here's one for Rin: Box of Rain by the Grateful Dead.
What do you want me to do, to watch for you while you are sleeping?
What do you want me to do, to watch for you while you are sleeping?
I like all the girls in KS, but empathize with Hanako the most.

Excellent choice!Oscar Wildecat wrote:Here's one for Rin: Box of Rain by the Grateful Dead.

Emi: What the heck is that, Rin?
Rin: It's just a box of rain. I don't know who put it there.
An enigmatic box of rain, perhaps ?
Rin is orthogonal to everything.

Not sure if it's been mentioned here, but the first time I heard this song, I felt it described Emi and Hisao's relationship perfectly.

There's a lot of music that reminds me of KS, but for the sake of simplicity, I'll just post the main girls. I may post a forums edition later.
Something about us
Daft punk just seems to do Rin-esque music. This one kinda reminds me of Hisao's reaction to Rin pushing him away.
Seizure Warning:
Survive - I wasn't built to lose
Shizune in full competition mode. I feel like she's a bit more playful and less face-paced, but it does remind me of her on some level.
Monster - Nightcore
Emi + Hanako During their individual breakdowns due to past. The drawing, the grave, etc.
I am the Voice
Lilly. Because... well. Spoilers darling.
Perhaps it's the synethesia, perhaps it's my despise for the spoken word, but I love expressing myself through songs. It adds so many levels of meaning to each emotion, so many facets to each gem of understanding you take from another. Heck, if psychic communication existed, I'd communicate almost exclusively via music.

Oh man, that song gets me something fierce. The original meaning behind it is probably on par with Tool's Prison Sex in terms of the sick feelings involved, if not quite as dark in tone.Broomhead wrote:Monster - Nightcore

Oh sveet Jesus, I just listened to the first half of the original. I got kinda the same feel but it's a bit more verbose and specified.SpunkySix wrote: Oh man, that song gets me something fierce. My original interpretation of the song (having listened to only the nightcore version, two remixes away from the original.) was that it was reflecting on one's "Monsters" (what happened in the past) that always follow them around and "look in the window" (shadow every action they take) etc. Now it's just a song about rape/abusive relationships. I linked the song because my original interpretation was like Emi/Hanako, not the original song's meaning. Apologies.

I imagine this song to be very fitting as an epilogue to Lilly's route.
That last CG, fade to black, and this plays.

Ha, that's fine. Took me a while to figure it out due to night core as well... when I did though, holy damn. I mean, from what I gather, it's sung from the perspective of an unwanted rape victim's child, after her father killed himself and possibly her mother.Broomhead wrote:Oh sveet Jesus, I just listened to the first half of the original. But... it's called Running! It MUST be Emi-related!I imagine this song to be very fitting as an epilogue to Lilly's route.

Like seriously, it's not even a remix, since remixes take skill aside from *open Audacity. Increase speed 2.5, increase tempo 2.5*
But meh.

I write take a look, would you kindly?

Re: Music that makes you think of KS
There are a few songs that actually sound pretty good when given the nightcore treatment if the author does it right and adds subtle changes. Most of these songs already have that vibe to it though. But when people simply speed up the tempo on songs like Disturbed and Queen and...ugh. It's just unlistenable.Steinherz wrote:Am I the only one here who genuinely hates and detests nightcore something fierce?SpunkySix wrote:Oh man, that song gets me something fierce. I'm that way about Dubstep in general. Nightcore just appeals to me. I definitely wouldn't give someone else a shot of it unless they asked me directly.Steinherz wrote: Am I the only one here who genuinely hates and detests nightcore something fierce?
