Does Rin have schizophrenia?

I'm currently playing through Rin's route, and have stumbled upon a thought that I think is worth thinking about.

....yeah, it's 2:20 am and I can't sleep and I'm reading KS. I may or may not be comprehensible.

I think it is a possibility that Rin has schizophrenia.

- dulled affect (emotionless, poor social skills, difficulty feeling pleasure or finding things interesting)
- possibly hallucinations? (in the opening to act 2 of Rin's route, you see Rin painting and there is a brief moment where her body is replaced by what seems to be a dragon and other nonsensical shapes)
- word salad (Rin admits to not being able to monitor her speech, not liking what she says, others and even herself have trouble completely understanding her words at times)

I just thought it may have been a possibility given what has been presented thus far. Does anyone else agree?

She has Alexthymia.

As someone who knew a schizophreniac, rin does not have it,

Her behaviors seem more closely comparable to autism, but nothing is really confirmed at this point. I think she's just supposed to be 'weird'.

Nah, I worked with a schizophrenic for a few months, guy was okay when he wasn't having episodes, but PTSD + Schizophrenia is not a very good combination.

By curiosity, how is this person ? she/he lives normaly or not ?

Pretty normally to be honest, basically they had "episodes" sometimes where their personality effectively switches into something entirely different, Rin dosen't have those kinds of episodes, so schizo is pretty much a no.

I haven't heard or see Rin go to Hisao and scream 'I AM OTHER PEOPLE RAAAAWR'!

Although I'd like to see that happen for the comedic value

It is always funny (and by that I mean not) how people always try to diagnose Rin with some mental disorder based on "someone they know" or "something they read on the internet".

No, it's more like "B"!

No, I'm certain it has to be "C", because [insert random reasoning that is in 99% of all cases not based on having studied 5+years of psychology]

After some heavy evaluation, I've come to the conclusion that Rin can be classified , the strictest scientific definition of the term, as a kook.
