Well, since wargaming is my primary non-computing modelling hobby, it probably won't be TOO embarrassing for me (probably more then enough dignity went out the window when I started wargaming, anyway. ).
But still, the latest question's scenario might be a bit too far out of reach anyway: at AU$1,050+ a pop ... yeeeeeah.

Then I imagine her figurine somewhere on my shelf and what most people's reaction would be when they see it.
'What's with her?'
'Captain Katawa'
'...you...wow...'
Lots of awkward faces
I've seen some weird PVC models in a buddy's room, but I don't think there's one involving 'blind girl with scars, drills, without arms and legs while sitting on her butt'-weird.
They say they hate Shizune? What is this? BLASPHEMY!

She is unable to communicate ? what can she do ? the worst is probably blind+deaf...hearing and sight are the only sense that really allow you to perceive the outside world, I personally think it's far worse than being limbless. (See someone like Stephen Hawking, his paralysis must be horrible to live, but he can still effectively communicate and have intellectual activities, but if he was deaf and mute ? touch alone is not very effective to communicate or do anything)

I'm creeped out mate!
It reminds me of some other character from some other series... That had a recurring character that was like this.
Maybe it's just some random monster from Silent Hill.
Definitely don't want a figurine of this.
I wanted a Hanako on the dress with the hat and the flowers (she looks lovely)
Misha with her drills intact, with that happy grin! Guess who Hicchan!
Shizune with her mad but cute expression. Can you fucking translate stuff for me Mikado!?
Emi with her excited look! I hate English too!
Lilly... difficult to see Lilly as a figurine. Her main sprite looks kind of off. Maybe modeled after some piece of art?
Rin with her I think I saw a cloud look.
And of course, Hisao holding the bandaged heart.

Hmm, well I assume Greco-Roman/Western/whatever ideals of beauty certainly may have factored in (a bit).
As for what pose a Lilly figurine might have ... hmm, maybe standing, leaning slightly on her white cane and with one hand extended towards the viewer, as if beckoning to them?
I dunno, just a shot in the dark.

Let's say there's someone out there who specializes in PVC figures who's familiar with KS...
How much are you willing to pay to get a hand on those?
If you're unfamiliar, it's something like these:
The rarer ones could shoot up to 100k yen, and those are usually in small shops in Akiba that requires you to have good connections to get around in.
I've been visiting komiket expos and Tokyo almost yearly now--partly due to me hoping someone would release a KS PVC figure. Starting to think it's becoming an unhealthy addiction

Deaf/Blind and not being able to perceive the world?
Helen Keller would like to (not) speak with you
Also, Professor Hawking's communication is a device tied up to his breathing. He cannot communicate without it. So he's effectively mute.

Ok, but they are real limbless people (or paralyzed without some senses) and it's no nice to call them "random monster from Silent Hill"
I know it wasn't meant to be offensive. But some of those pictures (especially the last one) looked extremely creepy in my eyes.
KS deals with each girls disability without glorifying it in some way, and like some redhead said "I'ts only an elephant if you feel that way".
Those pictures on the other hand ONLY focus on the disability aspect, making them stand out more than anything else! It's the exact opposite of what the KS did.
And I remembered where I heard of it before... from that horrifying deep-web creepy-pasta about some lunatic doctor who abducts children and turns them to sex slaves (blinds them and amputates their limbs).
Shit, I need a glass of water.
