I think in Europe they use the '.' as a place separator instead of ','; in Germany, $15.95 would be $15,95 while $1,000 would be $1.000.Oddball wrote:Honestly, I couldn't care less about word count. Chapter count would be more useful.
But if you are going to keep a word count, you might want to have somebody go back through it and type it out right. I'm pretty sure A Little Push (for example) doesn't have 3.188 words for example. 3,188 might be more accurate. What exactly is .188th of a word anyway?
You want to use , not .

Exactly.
It's like with those strange units Americans still use...
Most of the world uses "," as a decimal separator, while "." is used for digit grouping.
About the only countries using "." are the US, Great Britain, China, India, Japan, Australia and a few countries in southeast Africa.
Fun fact I learned when looking it up just now: Canada uses "," when writing French and "." when writing English... Not sure what they do when there is no text involved

The entry for Eminako Series is still listed, despite the change in name at the posting of the 6th and 7th chapters. When the post is next updated, it should be removed. The replacement entry for The Purest Form of Love should be updated as follows:

Added above entries
fun fact: this is the second time i'm writing this, i was just about to post when i accidently closed the reply window.
NOT HAPPY
I'd like to clarify some frequent submission issues for future submittors(?). (This of course aply to old submittors as well )
For starters, when a story has a changing POV between many characters (more then two), don't list the whole lot, just put down "various". In cases where there is one major POV character and several minor episodes with a different POV you can list them as "XYZ, Various". In case your POV is an OC, don't list his name, since that information is useless to outsiders, instead put down "OC".
Pairings. Don't list every once mentioned OCXOC couple in your story, only list the major pair and pairings that have importance to the plot.
It looks like every entry comes with a "Begins" tag, even when having them is pointless. Only list the starting point when it is critical for the understanding of the plot, for example after a canon ending, during another route or 67 years in the future and such.
Finally, remarks. it seems like this is the one that is being messed up the most. Don't list plot points or information that is presented earlier in the entry. The remarks section is for information that might be of interest for the potential readers such as genre, warnings and the like.
That's all for now, if you follow these guidelines you won't have to have me butcher your entries with editing every update ^~^
thank you all for the support you gave to the library, you guys are awesome, keep writing them masterpiece fan fics for this masterpiece VN!
I've been thinking of maybe having a section where we have some featured Fan fictions for newcomers who might be lost on where to start, do you think this idea is practical?

Not sure how you can work this out. Perhaps just direct to the Book Club? It has some sort of protection from cooking… I remember being pretty lost when I first started in February, so I just read everything and got mental indigestion.Comrade wrote:I've been thinking of maybe having a section where we have some featured Fan fictions for newcomers who might be lost on where to start, do you think this idea is practical?

I suppose one could indeed go to the club for directions for that, though it seems you people became pretty zealous on discussing meetings and nothing else
The club itself could do something along the lines of weekly/monthly/yearly/nthly featured story or something along those lines, having a different member pick one.

Looks like one of mine got lost between the aisles, as it were:
I think that's formatted correctly, although having it be under "P" rather than "H" might be a concern. Perhaps listing the title as "H&K: MD Christmas Special, Picking up the Pieces" might help? That way it's with my other works.
EDIT: Filled out the form in its entirety, which should help with archiving. Sorry about that.
