Closure
Re: Closure
Since you just bumped this thread anyways and I read this fan fiction for a second time a week ago I need to say: Thanks! This is a wonderful story.
Without going much into detail I must say that I simply think you did a fantastic job in terms of quality of writing, characters, character developments and plot
There's pretty much no scene that I didn't really enjoy reading.
I really love the early bar scene, when Hisao tries to get out without outright saying so, while Misha calls him out on it. The whole "just give me your number, I'll call you okay?" act that Hisao tries to pull off. There just so much subtlety in these that scenes, it's great.
The "porn DVD" conversation is also brilliant. The way Misha is most likely immediately afraid when Hisao mentions his co-workers "gift", wondering if it's one of her porn movies. Again, the subtleties of her facial expressions and the way she probes Hisao for more detailed answers, it's just so intelligently written.
This fan fiction is definitely within the top, top ranks of my personal favorites and I'll keep recommending it.

Re: Closure
After the good or the bad ending?
Re: Closure
After the Act 1 Shizune end. The full release didn't exist when it was written, despite not getting posted until after the full release.
I found out about Katawa Shoujo through the forums of Misfile. There, I am the editor of Misfiled Dreams.

Re: Closure
"Just visiting Shizune." She gestured over her shoulder, to a small, framed picture of the blue-haired young beauty sitting in the far corner, atop a small black wooden table. A vase sat next to the photo, holding a small bouquet of flowers; incense, still fresh, filled the air. A shrine? Hisao looked to Shiina, who was still dabbing tears from her face. "The faculty put it up after she—" Shiina's voice caught, then, and Hisao had to nod. I know how you feel.
After she what? Left? Died?
Can someone spoil it to me, i dont want to advance in the story if i dont know what happened

Re: Closure
It's one thing if you want to be spoiled, though I certainly don't encourage it.
But please be at least considerate about other readers who might stumble upon this old story because it's been brought to the front page again.
You can use spoiler tags if you absolutely want to post this information, but it's not even neccessary, because everyone who replied to you has already read the story.

That.. Was some heavy stuff. But, bravo. A magnificent story.
And so, they finally learned to support each other in order to move on

Girls: Hanako/Misha > Lilly > Emi > Shizune/Rin
Routes: I realized that every route has its own charms, but felt that Shizune's was lackluster. It has Misha though!

Ooof - that hurt, but in a good way.
Depressing - as in "depressing that I'll never write that well."
Wonderful as in - "Wonderfully evocative and believable."
Written in the true spirit of KS - thank you.

Re: Closure
Damn. This was a really, really good story. Gut wrenching, tragic, beautiful, and well-written. It even feels consistent with the main game's version of these characters despite being written for a less complete version of them. In any case, it was an amazing read and a truly wonderful experience from beginning to end. Certainly there were some aspects that were less than stellar, but sometimes a story simply overcomes those boundaries and stands out on its own merits, and that's what this one did for me. Bravo on writing such a great story and thank you for having done so. I may be 11 years late, but there's a part of me that's happy to know that I, along with many others, still find gems like this one. And that stories like this live on so long after they were written.

Re: Closure
I haven't sat down to read a full KS fanfic in one sitting in years, I was starting to think that maybe I wasn't as interested in them as I was in my early college days. After reading this, though, I feel that spark reignited. This story is truly heart-wrenching, much like the VN itself. You did a fantastic job at capturing all the emotions KS is known to make you feel. All I can say is, bravo.
