I've never asked this before, or I just missed something somewhere down the 31 pages:
how long do you write this fic before you post it here?
Til I finally died, which started the whole world living

I think this fic took about 4 months to write from start to finish and for the most part I didn't really do much else in my free time. This was still rather quick for my standards though.

Thanks for posting this, I'm about to read through most of it. I don't see reading about Lilly and Akira being too important, and I wish people would just stick to telling the story from Hisao's point of view and quit with the fanservice and all the other random stuff I see in almost every piece of fan fiction out there. That said, I like what I've read so far and I'll update what I think after I'm done. Thank you.

Edit: Oh hey, I was thinking...what song should be playing in each scene anyway? You should go through and pick one of the songs from the VN as the song to listen to while reading. Or I'll just do that, haha

Lilly's and Akira's discussion is part of the plot, so yes, it's important. It's Hanako who's at the center of the story's plot and not Hisao, so quite a few scenes won't be from his point of view. Better get used to that now.

There's probably a list of songs in one of the pages of this thread, but it's full of spoilers, so it's probably best to avoid it. I intend to someday implement non-intrusive music cues directly into the story, but at this point you'll just have to use your imagination.

Kind of late to this almost 2 year old topic, but WOW. I just had to make a brand new account for this site just to be able to thank Guest Poster for this incredibly awesome piece of work, reading Sisterhood made me feel as if I was reading an actual canon epilogue to Hanako's already amazing path. This was my first fanfic I've ever read of anything, but I doubt I will ever run into another piece of fan work as great as Sisterhood was(no offense other talented writers!).
Thank you Guest Poster and creators of Katawa Shoujo!

Heh I was in a very similar situation as yours. I think Sisterhood was my first fanfiction read ever... well if I discount the rather short "A runner's afternoon" and it completely blew me away.

Now here's the good part:
but I doubt I will ever run into another piece of fan work as great as Sisterhood was(no offense other talented writers!).
While I do count Sisterhood as one of the top stories here there are plenty other great works, which means you may be in for a treat. For example you could give Closure a read.

The nice thing is there's also quite a bit variety and types of fics here.

Well, that is unless I get to the end and I find out you kill everyone off in a bus accident. Then there's gonna be hell to pay.
That would have been one way to tie up all the loose ends. But I don't think you'll be disappointed even though the story gets more serious at the end.
To be honest your story is the best thing I've read in my life. Also, any bad grammar is due to my keyboard being a bit fucked up.
Anyway, I think the best closure wold've been to have it end at the end of summer. We all love the characters and don't want to let them go. but, at the end of summer, they'd have to be adults, and get jobs, and have boring college lectures, and other boring things, so we can all figure out what's gonna happen quite well.

Thanks.

I agree that graduation is a fitting point to end a story about high school, but Japanese graduation is actually about half-way through March and the new school year starts at the beginning of April. This means that Hanako, Lilly and Hisao still have about 8 months left at Yamaku. Which is quite a long time, so a sudden time skip wouldn't add anything to this particular story.

Ya know, I LOVED this story, despite its somewhat abrupt ending. Bravo, good sir/ma'am. Bravo. Also, this marks my greatest forum revival! I hope the mods don't kill me...

Thanks.

And is the ending really that abrupt? All the running plotlines are pretty much wrapped up and the few teasers near the end were just teasers rather than aborted arcs.
