We can at least keep the "L".emmjay wrote:Male!Shizune wouldn't just be named Carlton, oh no. Her family is rich, so she'd have one of those stuffy, old-money names. Carlton Archibald Hakamichi-Smythe. The Third.Potato wrote:Munchenhausen wrote:Alright, kiddos.
What names would you give a genderbent cast?
Misha= Jimmy
Rin= Greg
Shizune= Carlton
Emi= Reggie
Lilly= Wallace
Hanako= Larry
How about Leonard ?

I love the interpretation of Pac-Man where he's a just a lowly worker retrieving golf balls left all over the course by the rich masters and the ghosts are all previous workers who got conked on the head and killed by incoming golf balls in the line of duty.

[quote="Draganada" the only reason Lilly had gotten close to Hanako was because they were next door to each other in the dormitories.[/quote]

Re: If Lilly Had Been a Boy
If Lilly were to be a boy he really wouldn't be so different. No, the testosterone won't make male Lilly into some brazen, slightly rude fellow who uses colloquial language. That makes no sense whatsoever. Men can be polite and refined. I can imagine a male Lilly being having basically the same personality as the female Lilly with perhaps a few tweaks here and there. I doubt the family would make much of an impact on Male Lilly either.
A cynical and snarky male Lilly would be taking it too far. That's far too big of a change.

If the gene pool threw up Akira, we don't have THAT far to go…Forever_ambivalent wrote:A cynical and snarky male Lilly would be taking it too far. That's far too big of a change.
Post-Yamaku, what happens? After The Dream is a mosaic that follows everyone to the (sometimes) bitter end.

This.
And besides, I posted my opinion on Male!Lilly's personality anyway:
And that's especially if Akira isn't genderswapped as well.Steinherz wrote:If going by the way Lilly's family is depicted in the actual VN, a male Lilly would likely be more coddled, and very likely hate it. Simply because Japanese culture puts a lot of emphasis on the first-born male child, but him being blind since birth would be a bit of some shame for them. So having him sent off somewhere where his disability wouldn't bring shame upon their family is a good thing.
Ergo I think if Lilly were a guy he'd likely be much more cynical and abrasive. Definitely a Deadpan Snarker.
I write take a look, would you kindly?
