No, you still have quite a few wrong mid-line breaks. The forum software handles formatting according to the viewer's screen size/resolution, so it's pointless and actually damaging to try and adjust mid-line breaks to look good on one's own screen since they'll look crap on everyone else's.

Doing it in Small font size seems to help.... it also makes it look kinda neat.

Reducing the font size to avoid line breaks is like pouring paint over your manuscript to hide spelling mistakes.
It kind of works, but it's not really the optimal solution...

Still looks pretty ugly, actually. Are you using a different editing program for this chapter? Your previous ones didn't have nearly this sort of problem.
Rin is orthogonal to everything.

Don't use line breaks unless you're starting a new paragraph.

They did have this sort of problem, but I allways fixed it somehow on the spot. I dont use any editing programs for it... will try harder...

Come to think of it, it is indeed because of my unhealthy obsession with line breaks (and lack of conpetence in this sort of thing, actually) . I restructured the whole thing and it should be kinda sorta fine now.

*nods* Looks much better now. I learned very quickly that I could not compose anything of any length directly on the board and still have it turn out to my liking, so I highly suggest using a separate text editor.

I do my composition in AppleWorks (Apple II, not Mac) and Google Drive, typically.

The Apple II is when I'm doing things during downtime at work, Google Drive at home (because I can send a link to a Google Drive document to someone who's collaborating with me, and they can easily comment on it).

I actually tried doing it on a typewriter, but I use editing functionality too much.

Also, using a word processor is a good way to get word counts, if you're targeting a certain length.

It looks pretty good now format wise. And as far as old text editors go, I was always partial to "vi" myself...

On windows platforms, I've used a number of ASCII text editors over the years, and I found Ultraedit to be best feature wise. It's not freeware, but if you work with text files much (I do constantly), it is worth the price.
I like all the girls in KS, but empathize with Hanako the most.

For straight ASCII text editing, I use Notepad++ on Windows, TextWrangler on OS X, and nano on most other *nix platforms.

I can use vi if I have to, but usually I only do that for long enough to get pico/nano installed. (Or, on my AIX box, I just use dtpad, it needs CDE running anyway for the mainframe I/O emulation software.)

Please don't hijack someone else's story thread with word processor comparisons.

But hey, there's a fresh thread idea....

Well, you'll be fine if you don't do anything stupid. I don't care either way, I like Miki. Even if it goes south, I'll still read every post.
