Even if Hisao is the protagonist and the pairing is with one of the canon girls, the story will either be a divergence from canon or just a retelling of the original story. If it's just a retelling, it will usually be mentioned in the remarks section.I would say that's only true if the story is OC-centric. Otherwise, there's a high likelihood of continuity clash.
If it tells a new story it doen't matter when the story was written, because the point of divergence will be where the story begins.
I agree. Closure is a very rare type of story. It was written when only Act 1 was available and begins several years after graduation. There are at most a handful such stories on the forums.Well in case of "Closure" it currently can cause some confusion:
