Performance Issues at the Board?

Ok, so I noticed that this site slows down my Firefox rapidly.
If I open this Board in several Tabs (which I do alot, because you can switch between the Threads faster) my Firefox is getting realy slow.
This means switching between tabs, or closing single tabs takes much longer than on every other site.
Did anyone else notice this, and if, is there a way to get this Board up to "normal speed" again?

If your CPU is old enough, it could be that Firefox is just eating up all your cpu cycles. When it tries to load a page, its cpu usage sky-rockets. Try to have multiple tabs loading at once and you'll surely max out an older cpu.

Heck on my dad's 866MHz Pentium 3, you can't even open 3 tabs at once without it taking forever. Loading multiple pages ends up taking up so much cpu that there's pretty much none left to render the page.

No problems here on my PC.

Core2Duo 2 GHz, 2 GB RAM. Can have gazillions of tabs open.
