I know what you mean but after playing them so much, even then the feels start to degrade over time. I love the whole idea of KS but after replaying it so many times and after messing with the beta for a bit, it feels like I'm just selecting icons in a game instead of reading the epic story I originally found less than a week after its release. I guess it feels similar to constantly re-reading that book from your childhood. I get nostalgic feelings but the original feels can barely even touch me anymore.FoxtrotZero wrote: KS isn't a story I'll ever forget, nor are the characters within, they've made too much of an impression on my heart. But often I wish I could go back and experience it like I did that first time. I cannot. I miss those feels.
The "feels" bazaar.

That's just how memory works. Same reason you don't watch a movie twice in a row and why replay value is a score in game reviews. Of course, you could go get the memories of KS hypnotized out of you (seriously, that's a thing), provided you're susceptible to hypnosis.
Or you could gather the devs into a room and poke them until they either decide to do a sequel or permit fan extensions.

I like to think of them as they are now (2013), older and wiser (hopefully). Shizune reading a copy of The Prince, Hanako having adventures on her computer and the Internet, that kind of stuff.

Of course, if you're so inclined, you can skip the whole "permission" thing but that wouldn't be very nice. Or just stick to fanfiction.

Re: I think I miss the feels...
Have you looked into fanfic? Reading and writing my own continuation have kept the feels alive for me.

As well as reading Fan-fic, I'm seconding the notion. But you're also relying on that the writers are relatively decent, or that you're well-versed in writing yourself.pandaphil wrote:Have you looked into fanfic? Reading and writing my own continuation have kept the feels alive for me.
And the screen's dim, flickering lights, though warm on her face, her dark eyes a well of emotion, brought out a incandescent awe from inside Hanako, in spite of her initial reluctance, reluctance turned into the desire to become well acquainted with her now seemingly nimble, dexterous fingers...YZQ wrote: "... Re: I think I miss the feels...
You may want to look into Shizune's Bad End. And then read the one-shot fanfic Reunion after.
The strength of heart to face oneself has been made manifest. The persona Carighan has appeared.
Re: I think I miss the feels...
After I got 100% I never replayed the entire game. If I needed the feels, I'd just load up a state from a scene I remember and play from that point, then stop when it was done. Kinda weird.
@OP: Since this is your first VN, you probably have extra sentimental attachment to it. The first one I played was Saya no Uta, and I remember playing through it a few times after I got all the endings (BTW if you never heard of that game, you'll need a strong stomach and be willing to experience a few mindfucks, but the writing is brilliant so I highly recommend reading it if you can handle it), so maybe I'll replay Katawa Shoujo again in full in the future, maybe after I listen to my friend and play this "Little Busters" he keeps telling me to play.

Re: The "feels" bazaar.
I get where you're coming from. I actually haven't gone back through KS since I went through every route a few months back, because part of me thinks it won't be as powerful if it's still fresh in my mind. Maybe a little bit down the line I'll go back through and experience the feels again too. I also have a very strong sentimental attachment to it because KS was my first VN as well.
I am bad, and that's good. I will never be good, and that's not bad. There is no one I would rather be than me.
Re: The "feels" bazaar.
Coming up on one year since I completed it...Might have to replay soon.

You're right, I probably do. And both of those are on my list of VNs to play.Jango wrote:After I got 100% I never replayed the entire game. If I needed the feels, I'd just load up a state from a scene I remember and play from that point, then stop when it was done. Kinda weird.

If anyone is as mindfucked as me, apparantley my thread got folded in. Perhaps I should have included more discussion value...

Re: The "feels" bazaar.
Was never attracted to VNs as games. KS was my very first one. My usual gaming stuff are RTSs on the PC, then WoW and Paradox games as I got older.
