Have you ever listened to yourself think/talk for a bit? Then you realize "Why the fuck does anyone listen to me? I make no sense to myself."
I think that's what Hisao suffers from
I write take a look, would you kindly?
I also draw, kind of.

For me, inner monologues are a way to sort out your own logic so that you don't repeat the mistakes when talking to others.

Hisao kinda knew her dad was dead, but no one had ever told him directly so he had to basically pretend like he didn't know.

If you go after Emi at the dinner, Hisao knows he fucked up when he says "blahblah... lie in the grave... blahblahblah"
If he thought Emi's dad was still alive he could say that without being a retard.
Also.... Emi's evil face she makes when she kicks u out is kinda creepy...she first makes the face when she says "anal" although in that context it was more of a devious face than a face of demonic hatred

No kidding. Theres nothing more frightening than a cute girls "I hate you." face (see Hanako).

Not sure if you're talking about Hisao's specific situation or a general statement, but i admit that i agree with that in some parts. While it doesn't make it ok, i think it's one of those factors that it's important to keep into consideration when laying a judgement on the character.

This. Each of the girls makes questionable decisions as well, it's just that since Hisao is under the player's control some of the time people cut him less slack.
Yeah, i think that's a very good assesment.

Being depressed can influence the chances of becoming an idiot. But ultimately, the choice lies in that person.

Everyone holds the idiot ball at least once and probably twice. Human nature and all, sometimes people are dumb.

I don't want to be blunt/rude, but there is so many wrong with that statement that i can't believe i don't feel the energy of saying why is it wrong.

Sometimes. Though, being humans, emotions tend to get the better of us. There's a reason why depression is considered a medical condition.

I don't know. If so I should be a genius by now.

I have a brother that is on and off depressed, when he is on he can do nothing but lay in his bed or just walk around on routine. Being depressed dose not make you smart, your just kind of shut down.

That's pretty much how it works. You know there are things you need to do, and that you should get out, But it all just seems like the most difficult thing in the world. Or at worst, just boring and pointless. Its so much easier to crawl back in bed and try to pretend the world doesn't exist, try to fall asleep, or even lose yourself in daydreams that you're somebody else and that your life doesn't suck. So you end up in a cycle. Avoiding the things that might possibly help. Heck, even getting food seems to be more trouble than its worth, so you end up just eatign some cheap, unhealthy crap.

Certainly telling someone they need to just cheer up doesn't help at all.
