Hey aura I'm back. :3 So I have a question for any of devs if they would be willing to answer it.
When you made that April fools joke where you could get together with some of the other side characters, did you actually code it? Because like I'm pretty sure the public (mostly me ) would really enjoy that considering the mass amount of fanfics getting our hopes up.
Things happen. For the best or for the worst we do not know.

No. That would've been a lot of work for absolutely nothing?

<Suriko> I would do it if it wouldn't be so hard to explain to my parents
In "Scars" (Hanako Act 4), the last line of the "bad" ending is Not just the close of a single visit, but the close of something more.
I didn't know if this meant the closing of Hanako and Hisao's relationship ('more' means the great potential for Hanako's recovery through her relationship with Hisao), or the closing of Hanako to the whole world and the final, irrecoverable reaffirmation of her brokenness?
Question for Aura (or any dev I gues it doesn't really matter)
However, I would like to say thanks for making this game, I'm sure you guys have heard it countless times but regardless, thanks.
Anyway, I don't know if this has been asked or answered anywhere, and I also don't know if it's a taboo topic or not, but here goes. I've heard that in the game files there is a folder called rin_trueend which contains the art of when Rin and Hisao are in the rain during her neutral ending
I know that no ending is more canonical than another, I was just wondering why it is named this way. Although I may be just over analyzing a potentially meaningless label.
EDIT: Wow I completely overlooked the answer to this, as it was posted right above me. Epic face palm.
Sorry

It's open to interpretation. There's no right answer.

Varies, but at the very least the writer always checks that everything is okay. We all are competent enough to acceptably emulate each others' characters, but sometimes we asked for help from others. Kenji and Rin were traditionally the most challenging to "other" writers.

Speaking of Kenji, who wrote his dialogues?
Emibro, Hanabro, [Lilly Lover], Rin Kin, Feminist, Two-timer
(Passively working on my KS YouTube series. Someday...)

Is he still around on the forums or anything? haven't seen him in this thread or IRC or anything (unless he uses a different handle)
Like most of 4LS, he doesn't hang out on the public IRC channel and posts on the public forums only rarely.

Alright, so sorry about being confusing about my earlier question about the april fools joke about the side characters. Let me restate it: Did you ever consider putting the side characters into the main story so that they would have a bigger role?
Things happen. For the best or for the worst we do not know.

EDIT:
Man, it's hard to find posts in huge threads. Anyway, question to Cpl_Crud (hope he was the writer, that post was from 2007). I just finished Hanako's path. I didn't do the bad ending. It'd be heart breaking .... I am wondering though. Why is Hanako's path shorter than others? Was it planned like that? There wasn't enough ideas to push the story further? It feels like it's cut somewhere before the end and all that is missing is "To Be Continued".
Because in the context of building and releasing climax, it seemed logical to end the story once the main hurdle (i.e., Hanako starting a relationship) had been cleared.
Early versions spent more time exploring the after story, but in an effot to trump the joy of getting Hanako out od her shell I ended up chasing ghosts down corridors. None of those plots really fit with the image of KS, so they were scrapped.
And if you want a fast answer out of me you will habe to find a week when I have more than 5seconds of free time, or else hit me up on my blog.
------
<Suriko> Crud would be patting Hanako's head
<Suriko> In a non-creepy fatherly way
<NicolArmarfi> crud is trying to dress hanako up like miku and attempting to get her to pose for him in headphones and he burns money

We thought about having Saki in KS for a little while. Like, a day or two.
