Oh no no no, there will be a time and place for that later. The table must be set in order for din dins to be served.
Doomish wrote:I love and hate reading this story at the same time. I love it because you're an excellent writer and the story is very well thought-out and entertaining, and you've expanded the idea of an Akira route into a full padded-out story by having it explicitly not be an Akira route until just recently without making it FEEL padded...
The intention from the beginning was to be a full-blown story rather than just a few chapters, although the outline has drastically changed at least four times in the writing process. That is something I've been going for, though; giving Hisao a story of his own alongside his story with Akira, Tetsuo, Lilly, Hanako, and everyone else so it doesn't feel like I'm just adding in random stuff for the sake of taking up space. What I leave up to pure, dumb luck is that somehow these two stories have managed to stay intertwined along the way, rather than falling apart and leaving a wishy-washy mess. Just give it time...
...and I hate it because aaaaaaaaaaaarrrrggggghhhh I'm so jealous of your incredible writing talent why would you do this to me ;__;
I don't even know what to say to that, honestly. I'm terrible at taking compliments ;_;. I guess the first thing I could say is that I've got an amazing editor, and an amazing proofreader to beat me around when I come up with stupid ideas, so there's no way this would be as successful as it has been without them. I don't think I'm talented, really. I mean, granted, I accept that I've improved a whole lot since that first Misha fic, but I've still got a hell of a long way to go.
I WISH I COULD TELL YOU THAT YOU'RE A WHOLE LOT BETTER THAN ME BUT I'M NOT THAT FAMILIAR WITH YOUR STUFF BESIDES A FEW SINGLES LIKE THAT ONE WHERE EMI GETS BREAST IMPLANTS SO IF I SAID SOMETHING LIKE THAT IT'D FEEL FAKE AND HALF-HEARTED BUT FROM THE STUFF I HAVE READ I CAN STILL SAY YOU'RE A PRETTY GOOD WRITER YOURSELF AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

Can I just throw myself into a wall, headfirst until you fess up that you're observing my life?

I mean, I'm older than her, but this is getting bizarrely similar.

Also!
I wouldn't have minded if she decided had decided to keep going...

Shattering your dreams since '94. I also fought COVID in '20 and '21, and all I got was this lousy forum sig.

You, sir, are my favourite fanfic writer to date. I look forward to the progression of this story, and anything else you may write in the coming future.

Keep it up, I'm about to lose my grip on the edge of the cliff(hanger).

That was fun to read. Notching much happened, actually, yet it is interesting. This is how slice of life should be written. And UST is already visible.

Humility is key. I can't accept it if someone things I'm good until I'm the best, and that's a looooooooong road to follow to the end.
Comes from years of playing an instrument and being judged by people who are infinitely better, I suppose. I'm used to receiving compliments through reverse-psychology, I.E. "YOU SUCK" means "GET BETTER" so whenever I hear something like "hey this is pretty good" without any ulterior message behind it, I get defensive.

Thanks for reading. Might be a bit. I've got everything laid out already, just gotta write it. Next chapter won't be too terribly long, but there's a lot of things I've gotta iron out so it doesn't come across as mixed-up or anything.

There's lots of better writers out there, but I do appreciate the thought even if I don't agree. I've got quite a few things planned for the rest of the story, so I hope I can keep you interested, and thanks for reading.

Everything is setting up for something else. And it won't get up to MGX levels of unresolved tension, I assure you.

Ah. So its reverse psychology is it...?

Well, in that case this is worst dribble that you call writing i have ever read. A malnourished badger fed on nothing but LCD and spam could form more interesting sentences out of its own excrement than you could put onto a page.

<3
My recommended fanfic material:
- A pseudo-pseudo Suzu route/Ascent: An Emilogue/Akira Pseudo-Route/Sisterhood (Hanako Epilogue)/One Wish (Hanako, post neutral)/"Can You Open Your Heart?" - a Rika pseudo-route/Closure/Kagami Pseudo-Route/ Tomorrow's Doom - Aiko Kurai (OC)... Damn it people, stop writing awesome fanfic, i'm running out of room in this sig!

You don't write for Cracked.com, do you?
I found out about Katawa Shoujo through the forums of Misfile. There, I am the editor of Misfiled Dreams.

I would first off like to thank you for writing this amazing fanfic, it has seriously intrigued me since the beginning. Keep being awesome!

Also quick question: How many other fanfics have you written?

Thanks for the compliment, and thanks for reading!
Also, I've written quite a bit, although I've never really dabbled in anything outside of KS fanfiction. Honestly, I doubt I'm good for anything else at this point haha.
A couple of years ago I tried to write a fantasy novel for that November Write Month thing, but it didn't... work out too well. 36,000 words of nonsense and nothing more.
http://pastebin.com/u/thanatos02 is most of what I've written, although you'll find that a healthy chunk of my past "works" aren't entirely worksafe.

Dude this fanfic is awesome, love your writing style. Makes me want to get back into writing actually.

Stayed up late last night reading from the beginning, didn't even realize how long I had spent hunched over until it was almost 1 AM and my back was cramping.

Can't wait for the next chapter =) <3
I wish I had some kind of succinct piece of wisdom to put here. Oh well, bathrobes are comfy =)
