I am having trouble loading the game on ubuntu 12.04.
I download the game (and I have tried multiple times and different sources), and extract the tar.gz package, but the progress gets stuck halfway and appears to finish (but doesnt). When I load the .sh file, I read normally until the hospital in the first act (part of the introduction)
Any way to fix this problem?

Is your disk getting full or what? Normally unpacking a tar file shouln't hang...

No. at leat 3 gigabytes of free space

It gets stuck extracting at
then quits, as it would if it were finished. The status bar is a little less than halfway complete when it gets stuck

I am runing Xubuntu 12.04.1 64bit. Before the update to 12.04.1 I had problems starting the game. I don't know what they fixed, but the game finally starts without a problem. I have version 1.0 of Katawa Shoujo.
