I could study French if I wanted to, but I prefer Japanese. In middle school I didn't care about 3rd & 4th languages, so I focused on English.

And I hate to have to step in, but I'm rather fed up of seeing this thread poke its ugly head up every now and then.
It had nothing to do with the forums in the first place, and it quickly became a breeding ground for wild speculation and Internet drama. In hindsight, I probably should have locked it earlier.
I have nothing against feeling concern for acquaintances, but please take care of that in private instead of making it a public spectacle.
