Is it possible to run KS completely off of a disk or external hard drive with nothing saved to the computer? If so: How?
I figure I could probably edit the Katawa Shoujo.py file so that the save folder is on the external hard drive and just use it to launch, but I've never really messed with python before, so I could easily mess something up.
Playing the game off of an external hard drive?
Re: How would I transfer the whole game to an external hd?
It's possible. Install KS to the external drive, then create a folder with this exact name in its directory: Ren'Py Data
That then saves everything there instead of the user's application data/library/home. Attached is a screenshot of what the file structure should look like, in case there's any ambiguity in my instructions. Good luck and enjoy your portable KS!
