...Oh snap, CROSSOVER FANFIC TIME!
The Kenji Files, maybe?
Setou and Ibarazaki roll up on the darkened campus, a heavy mist rolling through the barren, autumn trees. The gates hang in shambles, and the carefully manicured gardens have fallen to ruin, but the building stands unmarred by the passage of time. Yamaku Academy has been abandoned for nearly fifteen years, but somehow the local gang wars haven't left it covered in graffiti and refuse. Local rumors told people to stay away from this place, saying it was haunted by the tragedy that brought its supporting foundation to ruin.

Overhead, the sky crackles with lightning and the following rumble of thunder ripples through the trees, creating an eerie ambiance as Setou rolls down his window. "This is where it all started, Ibarazaki," he says absently.

"You can call me Emi, you know," Ibarazaki balks, "we've been partners for ten years."

Setou ignores her comment and continues trying to focus on the blurbs of color - little more than shadows cast against the pall of fog hanging around them as an unsettling blanket. He smirks, giving up on trying to see the surroundings. "I think this is the place," he says cryptically.

"You say that every week," Ibarazaki retorts, rolling her green eyes and frowning at her aloof partner, "and every week, you're wrong."

Setou glares at her through his thick glasses -or glares somewhere near her anyway- and chides, "you're just jealous of my spleen."

Ok that's enough of that...

I'm getting some strong Invader Zim vibes from this one.

Traditionally, the spleen is the seat of emotions. In this case, though, I'm just guessing that spleen is one of those inherently funny words.

... you've written a cast in case you'll get the chance to do a KS movie.

Seriously, I've filled almost all of the roles already. Just having a little trouble finding a Jigoro, a Rin and a Hideaki... :?

They not only look like the characters, but most of them actually act like the characters in their everyday life. :)
I'm also having trouble finding an Akira. Sae and mrs. Ibarazaki could be portrayed by anyone.

She exists, though I'm not sure she'd quite have the same androgynous look or blonde hair. The personality, on the other hand, is out there and exists among the feminine population.

I'm pretty sure if I think hard enough I can say I've met almost all the characters in KS in my real life, though I've had 31 years to do so. Comparatively, I mean. I don't know anyone missing their legs or arms, but I'm sure I've met Rin and Emi.

If you find her, I demand you propose with a poptart. Screw rings.

Compromise: Ring-shaped pop tart.
