Shizune's path
Re: Shizune's path
What should be noted is that the kanji for comfort 慰 can also be read as seduce. In fact the word 自慰 (jii) combines the kanji for "self" and "seduce/comfort", and means exactly what you think it would mean
Given the situation, location, and physical proximity between the two, it is pretty obvious what Misha wants. "Why" she wants it can be a matter of debate, but it is very clear that this was not an accidental or unintentional encounter on Misha's part.

I only did the Shizune route to comfort* Misha. Shizune didn't really toot my horn to be honest.

Yeah, I thought Robotnik had something relating to this part. It's obvious that she wants sex, duh, but as far as I can tell that want is fueled by years of low self-esteem and rejection.ravenlord wrote: "Why" she wants it can be a matter of debate,
Hanako's favorite joke is The Aristocrats, but she never tells it because Lilly finds it really offensive. Instead, she practices her delivery in front of a mirror when she's alone. It's the only time she never stammers.

therefore she wants sex not for the intimacy of love, but for the want of.....UGH i have no idea what im saying. i cant express it in words >< which is rare for me...WorldlyWiseman wrote:Yeah, I thought Robotnik had something relating to this part. She never really wanted sex. I mean, yes, she went there to jump on Hisao's undeserving dick, but you could tell just by looking at her that she didn't really want it. She was obviously confused and I think she either wanted to put herself further into her fake persona or stick it to Shizune.

What's that "fake persona" then? Is she planning on fighting her depression by sleeping with anyone who's willing to "comfort" her?Dr. Robotnik wrote:She was obviously confused and I think she either wanted to put herself further into her fake persona or stick it to Shizune.

Re: Shizune's path
I never said that, and great job on asking a one-sided accusatory question that would open whatever answer I could give to various different misinterpretations. My point was that she is living a lie (this part is canon, you should know that if you have played the game) and needs to reassure it to herself, and she wants to get back at Shizune for breaking her heart. Two birds with one stone. Never in any part of anything I have ever said could have been properly translated into "Misha is a whore", stop twisting my words around.

I don't think we ever really see Misha's true personality besides that one moment on the roof when she tells all.Dullfinn wrote:What's that "fake persona" then? Is she planning on fighting her depression by sleeping with anyone who's willing to "comfort" her?
Re: Shizune's path
My take on it is that she's been living a lie, and - in a way - has just now come to terms with it. The only thing she's unsure about is what to do next. Break off all communication with both Shizune and Hisao? Or just the former? Because - as I see it - she's thinking she still might have a chance with Hisao. And so, she's testing that situation. But apparently HISAO is only really interested in Shizune, so even if they do have sex, Misha feels left out. She becomes elusive, or at best sticks to doing damage control, already thinking about her new future (perhaps abroad) with fresh people around her.Dr. Robotnik wrote:My point was that she is living a lie and needs to reassure it to herself, and she wants to get back at Shizune for breaking her heart. I'm not twisting anyone's words, just being curious about what that "fake persona" could be. There's definitely plenty of real life women who do the "slutty thing" for those reasons.
Re: Shizune's path
I think it's more of a rationalized, indirect sort of motivation. If she can't have Shizune maybe she thinks being with the one Shizune loves is the next best thing? In any case I don't think she's honestly interested in Hisao as more than a friend.

Misha's clearly been lied to by the patriarchal establishment about the properties of magical healing cock.
Re: Shizune's path
I don't think she was trying to make Shizune mad or go after Hisao. I think she was just purely miserable, wanted to feel good, and had no idea how to maker herself feel better. Thatt's all she wanted, to feel better. She wasn't begging asking for sex, she was asking Hisao to do something to stop her from feeling like shit. Sex was just something that in her mind was the quickest and easiest cure. Frankly, I think the people in this topic have put more thought into it than the charactr herself actually did.

I agree with this. She did seem pretty miserable and confused about how to fix that. I wish we would have been given the chance to see her find some true happiness.possibly me wrote:I don't think she was trying to make Shizune mad or go after Hisao. Re: Shizune's path
Wild speculation ahead...
Does anyone know what kind of LGBT culture there is in Japan? A quick jaunt over to Wikipedia lists a bunch of areas where there are civil rights disputes and there's links that go off into portrayal in pop culture and and bits here and there about how discrimination is 'uncommon', but how open is it? I've always gotten the impression that Japan is more socially conservative than the US, and while it's not outright outlawed, it might be something that just isn't talked about outside of niche areas? I have no idea, I am an ignorant American and I would love the insight.
Anyway, my point is that if my assumption is right, Misha's troubles might have been compounded by not knowing if how she felt was 'okay'. Then again, she's not a stupid girl and the internet exists, so she could be in contact with other ladies-who-like-ladies. If Misha is in contact with like-minded girls, then there would have to be a reason for her to not consider other fish in the sea. Maybe she just has a particular type? Maybe she'll fly overseas and hook up with some awesome butch chick who's into activism?
