Re: I'm surprised this game has no associated creepy pasta
Sure KS has an associated creepypasta. It's called Doki Doki Literature Club.

Re: Who has the most PTSD?
Yamaku doesn't have mentally challenged students.
Yamaku doesn't have the facilities to cater to mental illnesses in general, the way they cater to physical disabilities in general. But a student who was still able to function in the school environment could still enroll as though he had no ...

Never attribute to gods or authors what can be explained adequately by the magic of an adolescent male with a prescription for sildenafil.

Re: Katawa Shoujo Virgin heroine?
Lilly always struck me as a strange case. shes obviously not shy about sex. Odd that her "healthy adolescent sex drive" is something shes only just realized she has.
She was a Catholic schoolgirl. This plays right into the associated tropes.
AFAICT, only two are stated outright: Lilly was, while ...

Re: "Yamaku Scavenger Hunt" preview, Lilly gameplay
Nifty concept. If I may make a suggestion, have you considered a mechanic for smell as well as hearing?
My thoughts: some rooms have strong smells associated with them: "I love the smell of tea" for Lilly's room, for example, or "I never really liked the smell of medicine" for the Nurse's office ...

Re: Best post Hanako ending fanfiction?
Reconciliation is really really good. And I usually dislike non-one-shot fanfics, but this one combined a few ideas from Lilly's and Hanako's story in a really cool way. And despite the sadness of its story, it's also really positive.
Here's another vote for that one. Also, don't worry so much ...

Re: Lilly is on Kotaku's Attractive Game Characters List
For all that I actually find Lilly the most attractive, I kind of wish Kotaku had put Hanako on the list instead, just so we could watch all the Kotaku readers' heads explode.

Re: Which song moved you the most?
Unfortunately, the song that moved me the most doesn't actually exist in the game. When I first played through (Lilly's path), my brain kept mixing up Innocence and Lullaby of Open Eyes into this mashed-up thing that stayed in my head for days. I have no way of expressing how it went, and ever since ...

Re: The happiest moment of Emi's life?
I've had thoughts about the cast of KS returning to Yamaku, as I suspect most writing-inclined people who played the game have, but I see her studying sports medicine and replacing Nurse-kun, rather than replacing Mutou.

Re: Have you dated someone like any KS character?
For me, it depends on how you define "like a KS character." The one I find to be like my Lilly wasn't actually blind, and while the KS characters are not defined by their disabilities (that would be missing the point of the game), they do carry importance. She did have a disability of sorts (though ...

Re: The most likely to become an emotionally abusive mother?
I can't see any of them becoming abusive , at least by common definitions.
I do think there's a real chance of Emi, Shizune, or Rin becoming emotionally distant (though they'd take very different paths to get there). That can mess up a kid, but can it really be called abuse? I'm not sure it can: it ...

Is it just me, or is the glasses-girl in the random artwork -the blue picture on the right- look an awful lot like Yuuko?

It comes up here every once in a while (I posted it once myself, back in The Day). Very good, very feelsy, but alas, the song is from Twilight.

Re: 2012 /v/GAs
As far as I can tell, the only real goal of the /v/GAs is to produce an awards show less disgraceful than Spike's. And the scary part is, despite all the things wrong with what they produced, they still achieved that goal.

You're not alone by any stretch of the imagination, but I'm not sure we're really equipped to give you what you need. Have you considered seeing a therapist?
