Re: Cpl_Crud Follow Up Interview
I was literally rofling at the bonus bit at the end btw xP Glad you put that in. Also, you should put something in the desc of the YouTube advising people to stay until the end, there are quite a few seconds gap between the end of the interview proper and the bonus bit, and I nearly closed it becaus...

Re: The Hanako Thread - Spoilers, obviously
My bad. I since heard the Corp_crud second interview, and he is specifically asked whether the epilogue he wrote is canon, and he basically refused to reply, which says it shouldn't be taken as canon, but isn't necessarily just fanfic either.

He was in the same accident and mortally injured, and died en route to the hospital. At least, that's how I read it.danyo wrote:actually her father didn't die in the same accident iirc, he died on the way to the hospital to see her

Re: Cpl_Crud Follow Up Interview
Awesome
I'd seen the first interview, but hadn't listened to the second one.
You definitely need to grab more of the designers and talk to them, it's really interesting to hear the thought processes that went on behind KS.

Re: (My) Introduction, thoughts and a question
Emi, so far, has been my favorite, I swear I literally had fallen in love with her from the way she treated Hisao and him caring for her and trying to help her; Shizune, I liked the girl, but her relationship with Hisao left something to be desired; Rin's was a mess I have to say, almost ended up g...

Re: Would Katawa Shoujo have worked as a written novel?
The story should transcribe to a "Choose your own adventure" book I think, but yeah of course it would work well as a written novel, that's practically what it is and the game depends so much on writing that I think it would translate easier than other games (non-VNs). The other problem w...

Re: Songs that make you think of KS
Howl's Moving Castle theme tune.
The film has a very similar feel to it to KS as well (anime, fairytale story, feel-good factor etc etc). And the song itself sounds very reminiscent of the KS soundtrack to me.

Re: Would Katawa Shoujo have worked as a written novel?
I PMed Aura. Hopefully we'll hear good news. As for using italics for Misha's laugh, that is actually a pretty good idea. The ~ is a symbol that doesn't carry over well into books, but italics would reflect the emphasis quite well. I must admit that I've seen *s on either side of a word to create e...

Re: Would Katawa Shoujo have worked as a written novel?
I would've thought that her "Wahaha~!" would've worked equally well in a novel as in a VN. Once you understand that ~ on the end of a word creates emphasis (which perhaps should be better represented by italics...?) it's clear that it's just a way of showing Misha giving an outburst of emo...

Re: Would Katawa Shoujo have worked as a written novel?
Huh, point. I thought you were the OP for some reason. Also, soemthing that really needs to be addressed before any project along these lines goes any further - do we have permission to do something like this? No matter that no money is made, we're taking someone else's work, adapting it and publish...

Re: Hanoko Ending - A choice where there is not a choice -Lo
The wording for the choices just describes the final actions you can take. It doesn't detail the thought processes which led to those actions being decided on. You might've asked Hanako to the city because you wanted to give her the choice, because you thought it would do her good to get out a bit m...

The "never mind" after it's over is actually after she tries to say something to him, I'd hazard to say she was considering admitting she was gay to Hisao then and there and decided against it. WOrst. Thing. To have said to you during/just after sex ever. "Wow, that is what sex with ...

Re: Hanoko Ending - A choice where there is not a choice -Lo
I don't think the point of the choice was taking her into the city or not. The point of the choice was leaving the choice itself up to her. This choice, like many others, determines Hisao's outlook on things. If he decides not to go into the city, because of Hanako's social anxiety, he makes the ch...
