Delete the Work folder?
That's how I usually do it.

Re: Katawa Shoujo Folding@Home Team
In case you haven't noticed, I've gotten my stuff back up, running on 2x 9800gt and 1x 5870m and 1x PS3. I also have access to a linux server with an octocore Xeon @ 3.16ghz and 32GB RAM, but afaik the Linux client is unstable... I've been running the linux SMP core since '09 and have to say it ...

Re: How well with KS stand up to the other great VN?
There's something KS does that few VN's have had the ability to do. It can hold my attention. I'll usually grab a title.. Check out the artwork, music, voices and plot setup.. Then rip through until I get to bits that catch my interest. Sometimes just to get to the CG. Sometimes to catch a certain ...

Re: Katawa Shoujo Folding@Home Team
I found the cause of the slow grinds and high internal network usage in a recent F@H forum thread. Some folks reported massive slowdown with the A1 SMP core. I mentioned my network issues and they checked it out and reported the same conditions. Seems the old A1 units are just a pig to grind. Though ...

1.5 machines here.
I've gotten another couple of those screwy WU's again.
33% processor and 100% local-host network. Two TCP ports opened for FaH talking to each other.
It's a pain in the ass watching a work-unit creeping slowly through the network controller.

Just for relative measurement's sake here's my usual results..
4 cores on a 2.8GHz quad : 1920 points per 9 hours with 64bit linux client.
1 core on a 2.2GHz duo : 300 points per 15 hours with 32bit linux client.

"Lifetime Warranty"
Your lifetime or the card's lifetime?
I've always kinda wondered about lifetime warranties on products that are designed to last about 2 years before becoming obsolete.

Re: Katawa Shoujo Folding@Home Team
Would this be a bad time to point out that we passed folding texas a while back? Yeah. RoadRunner got his electricity bill. :) Karma bit me on the ass for that comment. A short brownout last night caused my UPS to overload trying to supply the running clients. A task it usually handles quite well ...

Re: Katawa Shoujo Folding@Home Team
Shot in the dark here...
Assuming you're running windows client.
Try completely un-installing the original client / re-installing the new one.
Might just be a registry or file conflict between the two.
Another side note.. Seems the latest round of ubuntu patches broke SMP 6.24 beta.
6.20 works fine.

Re: Katawa Shoujo Folding@Home Team
Sure you got the username/team/passkey working ? My MAC client would bugger those up if I used cut/paste to enter them. Worked fine if I typed them in manually. Set machine ID#'s to 1, 2 etc maybe. I've had the same results using 1,2,3 as I did with 1,1,2 so I don't know what's going on there. Three ...
