Re: Japanese invasion
It's pretty obvious that most Japanese racism isn't western-directed to begin with. Just look at how they treat Koreans. Then again, I've never seen Zainichi treatment firsthand, so... Historically, Japan has been very xenophobic....With Japan more exposed to the world than ever, this has probably ...

Re: Japanese invasion
"Worse than RapeLay" "It's like Clannad" Well, that feels like they're going from one extreme to the other. I kinda half expected this, I got more or less the same reactions from both my American and Japanese friends. I'm sorry to generalize, but it feels like the west see's KS as "4chan made it ...

Re: Learning Japanese.... Who is into it?
I'm curious as to how many people stick though it and actually learn the language. I studied it for 2 years in college and in the JPN101 class it was a full 90 people, by JPN202 it dwindled to about 7 of us. With only 3 people studying abroad this year (myself included). Classroom study seemed to ...

Re: "Yamaku" Academy
My Japanese is horrible at best, so please correct me if I'm wrong.
Can't "狗" (Inu, or in this case ku) also mean "Counterfeit" or "Inferior"? so couldn't you translate 山狗 as "Pile of Inferiors"?
Just asking...

Haha! Seriously? I could just imagine that running into the fields at halftime. Probably traumatizing the away team.Aura wrote:It's the guy with the goldfish in his head from Rin's mural.

Re: Have you played Hanako's Game recently? (Poll)
I play these "games" all the time. you never really keep score. I think it's because the act of "doing" something is the reward in itself. When I see someone playing Hanako's game, (you can tell right way if someone is even if they try to hide it) I just giggle to myself and ask them "Bored huh?" I ...

Re: What order did you COMPLETE the storylines?
Emi - Accidentally got her first. Lilly - Who i wanted first. My favorite out of the bunch Hanako - Hanako and Lilly are almost mirror in their paths. How can you get one without the other? Shizune - Path was nice, although Misha/Shizune are not my cup of tea at all. Rin - Almost got Kenji here ...

She cooks better with her feet then I do with my hands... Hmm... Maybe I should try cooking like that?
Kidding aside, it just goes to prove you can do anything if you have enough time to practice.

That's what I thought as well. At first I thought it was Rin till I read "speech affectation" and "Hand on chest, the other arm making a sweeping, dramatic motion."

I knew about Shizune but not the others. That's kinda cool. Especially Rin's name.
Most of my Japanese friends have strangely fitting names. Tomoaki (智明) especially because all he does is study all day in the library. I swear I'll get him to play video games yet!

K - "So yeah, I need some money. Please? Don't leave me hanging, man. I only need like a 1000 yen." H - "I though it was 400." K - "Okay" H - "What?" K - "I'll pay you back I swear." Reminds me too much of my buddy Dennis when he borrows money form me. Anything Kenji says is gold, just pure gold. He ...

Re: Much more descriptive details about each girl.
I don't like descriptive details same reason I don't like narration, I prefer when a show (or for this matter a visual novel) shows you what the character is like, rather than tells you. I mean do you need a blurb telling you Hanako is shy or Lilly is elegant? Wouldn't you prefer to see that ...

Re: Much more descriptive details about each girl.
We thought of doing that for Act 1 release actually, but then everyone realized that we are actually less interesting than the story is. I haven't been here that long but you all seem interesting to me (did that come out right?). Personally, I love director cuts w/commentary or little bonuses on ...

Re: Much more descriptive details about each girl.
I wouldn't mind it as part of the game, either. Something like... maybe getting 100% in the game unlocks an extended bio gallery with a little bonus artwork, the information about them, perhaps some developers comments... stuff like that. That would be good. I second that, developer comment would ...
