Re: Does your favourite heroine reflect yourself?
While I think I'm closest in personality to Lilly, who I adore - I liked Emi and Hanako more. The first brimming with energy I wish I could generate myself, and the other shares many common interests beyond making my heart swell. It would be strange. I definitely feel pulled between the three of ...

Re: Emi inspired running/workout
Just an update - I've gotten a bike now, but right afterwards I got a nasty unrelated gash on my leg so putting horizontal pressure on it is really bad.
Strangely enough I can still ride my bike so I'm still being active, but I'll have to restart the pushup challenge once it heals a bit more.

Re: Emi inspired running/workout
Thanks for the encouraging words!
Unfortunately, after about a week of letting my arms heal, I can't even finish Day 1 Week 1.
I guess I'll just attempt it again in a couple days. My upper body is definitely looking more toned from the attempts, so I bet it's just overexertion trauma.

I first 'aimed' for Shizune, but ended up with Emi first. I think she has a tendency to sweep newbies off their feet before they get a chance to realize what they're doing.

Re: Emi inspired running/workout
Aaaand Day 2 is a failure. I gave myself a day of rest after the first day, and my arms just couldn't finish their first rep. So one more day of rest and healing I hope, and I'll try again tomorrow.

Re: Emi inspired running/workout
It's been nagging at me awhile now, after playing Emi's route (and seeing the Couch-to-5k poster), that I want to exercise more. I did a number on my knees back in high school during Track. Wrecked my growth plates, even after not being active for so many years they just ache for no reason. I feel ...

Re: Did we change?
I really like this guy, he is basically changing just like many of us. I like his review too. Thank you! It's been very nice finding this place and getting to observe others' thoughts concerning KS. It helped tremendously to witness a concept like 'you're not alone' from a position of control ...

Re: The future of VNs, in VR?
It's interesting, reading up on the Rift dev's first experiences with the unit, and just how intensethe medium can be for a player. At this point such levels of immersion are more powerful than we expected, to the point where some of them don't think particular genres are going to be considered ...

Re: Just a crazy What if idea...
Hm, makes me wonder if Emi's first relationship with anyone is just doomed to fail.
It would be an interesting mini-arc in an 'Early-Rin' game, watching Emi's relationship with her first boyfriend implode and then helping her process what happened.

Re: Who would you choose to voice the characters?
Not sure where to post this, but Katawa Seiyū has their Hanako. https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=PPH0O6FDEbA That's actually pretty spot on to what I had in my head for her. I was thinking about it today after glancing at this thread title, and thought ' Melissa Hutchison ...

Wait, really? I didn't feel that way at all. For me I think Rin's was the most extreme as far as emotions go. I'm glad I did hers early so that the rest of them could even me out.OtakuNinja wrote:Shiizune's routes is one of the most emotional so save it for last.

Re: The future of VNs, in VR?
I think the US will start seeing things like that soon, especially after last year's Coachella cameo by Tupac.

Re: The future of VNs, in VR?
Well it looks promising. Still got a long way to go though. Well, yeah, but it'll get here sooner than we realize. I mean, 3 years ago we didn't even have a Kinect. I suppose it's just a matter of time... I can easily see people asking their co workers, "So, who's waiting for you at home?" "Hanako ...

The future of VNs, in VR?
Saw this link on twitter just now, and immediately knew I had to bring it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9jpWiTVR0GA Essentially, picture a Kinect and Oculus Rift working together to place life-sized 3D characters in front of you that can react to your 'touch', and follow you around meatspace ...

She was. I had to go back to get her good ending, but it was worth it. I definitely feel the surface of closure now, at least.pandaphil wrote:Best of luck with Lilly. She's an angel, she really is.
