Well, this is all entertaining and rather well written - I've enjoyed the earlier parts more, but still paying attention. Still, I hope you have an actual resolution in mind, and not going to go for an endless soap opera.

Not a terrible chapter, but I just don't agree with the interpretation. To be sure, I like it in principle that you've been showing Hanako as a sexual creature. I really do; I remember reading some past fragments and thinking yeah, this is good, this is a Hanako we aren't directly shown in the VN ...

Good update! I agree with Atario (what a surprise), in that this feels appropriate - and it's interesting to see her thoughts (and, ahem, feelings and desires) fleshed out beyond what she makes blatantly obvious to Hisao. That's kind of the point of writing from her POV.

If he's more into physics than chemistry, he might be more into the exceptionless rules thing. Seeing as it's an actual hard science. *ducks for cover*

Honestly, it makes total sense to me that Hanako in particular would be pretty absorbed in her own mental states and processes. She alone amongst the cast has psychological therapy sessions, and she is the most self-critical and voluntarily withdrawn unto herself. I agree! I just think 1. that ...

One thing that kind of bothers me about the way this is entire story written is that so much space is devoted to Hanako's psychological problems being discussed explicitely. All this talk about "mah progress" is kinda self centered and circular, and it just gets old. A character's internal problems ...

Well, yeah, it's OOC, but I admit I liked it when Hanako just dropped that note to the fl... oh, Shizune dies? This story is really looking up!
