Alright, which characters do you think represent each of the Seven Deadly Sins the best?
Main girls, Secondary characters, fuck it it Tertiary characters.

I feel Lilly would be Lust, Misha would do well for Greed and Shizune for Wrath
The rest, I have no idea.

What do you lot think?

I would like to have Nomiya for greed. Or maybe envy.

AND SUZU FOR SLOTH, OBVIOUSLY

First of, I owe you a beer for that Flogging Molly reference.

Misha would be a good candidate for Envy.
Hisao for Lust, I mean he is the one who could (and will) have sexual intercourse with several of the girls.
Kenji equals Wrath, for reasons we all are aware of.

And thats all from me right now. I'm way too drunk to come up with reasons for the rest.

Jigoro is probably guilty of pride.

Shizune/Misha: Gluttony

Lilly: Lust

Hanako: Envy (of everyone who isn't treated like a damned china doll)

Jigoro: Pride, Wrath

Suzu/Rin: Sloth

Nomiya/Shizune: Greed (for control, in Shizune's case)

Nomiya: Envy

Kenji: Gluttony (pizza hog), Wrath (always kinda pissed at 'feminists'), Sloth (dude barely leaves his dorm and I doubt there's a treadmill in there), Pride ("last sane man...")

@Aaron: "Probably"...

Envy Wrath Lust Gluttony Pride Sloth Greed

Lust

Hisao, without a doubt. Comfort Misha. Bang disabled girls in general, in point of fact. Badda-bing.

Gluttony

Misha. Parfait. I shouldn't even have to explain this one.

Greed

Kenji. How many times has he bummed change off of you?

Sloth

Rin. You catch her sleeping on multiple occasions.

Wrath

Hanako. "GET OUT OF MY ROOM, GET OUT OF MY ROOM!"

ALTERNATE: Nomiya, since he flips his shit at Rin.

Envy

Debatably also Misha, to the extent she envies your relationship with Shizune.

Pride

Shizune. She likes to go on about how much better the Student Council is now she's in charge.

I'm just gonna forestall the inevitable argument over that scene by removing that clause. :P

A goofy and dumb question, but those can be the best kind.

I'm going to try to avoid the stereotypes, and rather reflect on the details of their individual stories to figure out which of the seven shows most prominently.

Lilly - Sloth. All of Lilly's major conflicts center around a tendency to defer decisions and authority to others, and refusal to take responsibility for the consequences of these choices (because she isn't the one who made the decision).
Rin - Gluttony. She has no sense of moderation. When Rin does something, she does it 100% - whether or not that's a good idea.
Hanako - Wrath. Because of a slight (admittedly, a pretty big one), she refuses to forgive. Anyone who tries to approach her is put to a secret test, and, when they fail (because they had no idea they were being tested, or what she expected), she takes it as confirmation that her initial distrust was justified. And, of course, she doesn't stop at others; she is often her own worst victim.
Emi - Greed. She's fixated on "having" things. It doesn't matter whether she can use them, or if it's a good idea - she simply wants to be able to keep it, even if that means it stays under lock and key, never to be used or enjoyed.
Shizune - Envy. She's the trickiest of the bunch, and I'm going on a slight limb here, but recall her anecdote from the bad end. Recall her reasons for competitiveness. Oftentimes it's innocent enough, but there are plenty of occasions where it's clear that she has no endgame in mind - she wants to win because she wants to win; to be better, or do better, or otherwise have more.

Interestingly enough, lust doesn't really play out for any of them. And pride, being the chief, encompasses all of them and none of them.

I like your call of Sloth for Lilly. That's a good one.

Otherwise, I'd have to pick Envy for Hanako. She comments that she's not as good looking as Lilly and shows jealously towards both Yuuko and the one waitress that Hisao looks at when they're in the city.

After that, it really gets tricky. Both Emi and Shizune seem to be heavily motivated by their own pride. Things have to be done there way and there's no room for any other opinions on the subject because they know best.

Misha .... maybe lust, as her story is focused on her relationship with Shizune, but that's stretching things a bit.

None of the main cast really feels wrathful, maybe Shizune, although that can be blamed on the fact that her wrath is focused on people that have hurt her pride. Maybe Jigoro instead. He seems angry at the world for everything.

Sloth is actually spot-on for Lilly...

Akira might fit for wrath...She seems to be carrying a lot of excess anger toward her parents, at any rate.

Misha seems more guilty of envy than lust. Maybe greed, seeing as she's so discontent inside with just having Shizune as a pal.

Why do you have to be so negative? What about the 7 heavenly virtues?

Just wanna pop in and say that ProfAllister pretty much owned this thread. Your point about Lilly & sloth is particularly insightful - it's ever been my observation that her major character flaw is fundamental dishonesty & what you refer to as "refusal to take responsibility" for the conseqeuces of her choices.

Can't argue with any of that. Lilly and Hanako are nothing short of genius really. Good job.
