Two years later, KS is still my favourite game and probably favourite story. It introduced me to visual novels - I've played quite a bunch since Katawa Shoujo, but not a single one has come close to the emotional impact Katawa Shoujo's routes had upon me.

Truthfully, it was a life-changing experience and, once again, I thank the dev team for it.

You know I just saw Citizen Kane for the first time a few days ago, and when I saw that scene, my reaction was "Oh, so THATS where that gif comes from."

My face upon realizing I almost missed Katawa Shoujo's second birthday.

KS was my first VN and even though I haven't read many afterwards, KS opened a new genre for me to love.

Katawa Shoujo was, for me, the beginning of an era. An era rife with feels, questions to myself and the alarming thought that me losing an arm "wouldn't be that bad".
God bless you, 4LS, for making me secretly kinda want some freak accident to rip my left forearm off, even though I consciously know I would be better off with my limbs intact.
