In other words, he likely figured it out, but didn't want to say it because he could have been wrong.

"Hey Emi, about your dad...Did he died?"

"He's in Iraq."

"...But that's not a Japanese war."

"This is a fanfiction, Hisao, it isn't logical. We do not control our lives. In fact, I'm pretty sure I'm about to make out with Akira."

Besides, the VN is based on anime/manga stype storytelling. And we all know that the Japanese are masters at creating characters who can go for months or even years without ever saying what the hell they're thinking.

To be perfectly honest, I wasn't 100% sure what happened to him while playing either. I knew something happened, but the line Meiko says about going to visit him threw me. It was possible he was braindead in a hospital or something.

Speaking about Meiko, am I the only person here who was tempted to write fanfiction for her? I really felt bad for her. Emi lost her father, but Meiko lost her best friend and lover. If my connect the dots ability for writing was any good, I'd have written a story and given it multiple endings just to give good kicks right in the feeler.

Doomish did a Hisao x Meiko H-scene off of Rin's route.

Right, a guy who's 18 with a woman who's at least 37? Unless you want to go the "Oops" way and say Emi was born when she was 15... and even that makes her 34. 34! Well, she is pretty hot but still.

Yeah, Nisao and Meiko would be kinda creepy.

Though a fic showing how Emi's parents met and fell in love would be neat. I bet they were a cool couple.

Well Emi is 19 and doesn't look it at all
Also, there's the fact that Meiko is an utter MILF.
Truthfully if this were a more normal VN, Meiko would have a route XD

And the 60-year-old guys dating 20-somethings isn't?

I dunno, is someone writing a fanfic about it?

Maybe it is, but at least they're both well above the age of consent.

So are Hisao and Meiko.
They're in JAPAN. Age of consent is 14 over there.
They're both well over it

But she's already seeing the nurse. (at least in my reality)

You sure the Nurse wasn't just bugging Meiko about making sure Emi doesn't over-exert/hurt herself?
