Just a little butterfly I wanted to chase out of my head. I hope you guys don't mind me using this as an introductory post...

As additional inspiration (and perspiration) hits, this may actually turn in to a fanfic, or something similar.

Also, my apologies to Hanako.

====

1. GENERATION XEROX

"I thought we agreed, no pink hair and drills on my daughter until high school."

"Wahahaha! Don't worry Hanachan! It's a wig! See!" laughed Misha.

"Yeah! Wahahaha! Don't worry Momchan! It's a wig! See!" laughed her bite size clone.

====

2. PROXY WAR

"Mom!" Akira shouted, with her namesake in the pinstripe suit following behind. "Lil' and 'Zune are arguing again!"

I sighed, "Another Shizune and Lily proxy war?"

"Looks that way, Hanako" the elder Akira grinned, "Amazing how well your kids can pull that off."

I do have to admit, it is an impressive sight. Two children sitting across from one another on a park bench in Japan, one arguing in JSL, the other in English. The only game of "I can't hear you!" that a mom can be proud of... if it weren't for the "adults" sitting at the same table egging it on.

====

3. TALKING

I notice Rin (the preschooler) drawing something alongside Rin (the artist). Curious, I walk up and ask, "Whatcha' drawing?"

Not looking up from the paper, Rin responds, "Nothing. Just talking with myself."

====

4. GREEN ALERT

"Green alert! Code Yellow! DEFCON Six! COOOOOOTTTTTTTTIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIEEEEEEEESSSSSSS!!!!!!" Kenji screamed, as he ran in terror from the pack of giggling girls.

====

5. THIS MEANS WAR

Slowly, carefully, quietly (for a certain loose definition of those three terms), Misha Nakai sneaks (only the way an elephant in a glass shop can) up behind her target. Fortunately for our little ninja in training, her target happens to be her sister, Shizune.

Once in range, Misha reaches out and slaps one her pink wigs on Shizune, causing the latter to involuntarily put her hands on her hips and let out a loud "WAHAHAHA~!"

Once the fit of laughter passes, Shizune spins around and signs, [Of course, you know, this means war!]

====

It's gonna be a long day....

I see the title of the fic and I don't even have to read it to guess what it's about: Generation Xerox eh? This is going to be interesting. ;)

Hmmm, interesting. This proves my theory that this board is 95% tv tropes more and more. Also, not to sound mean but some of the characters in KS (Hanako springs to mind) had terrible childhoods that her parents (who ever they are in this) will no doubt move to try and prevent. I'm interested to see more

I chose the title mainly for the Misha bit. However, since I'm pathologically incapable of doing anything other than light and fluffy writing, a young Hanako analog would only inherit her namesake's shyness and not the horrors that caused it.

That said, you hit on one of the reasons I chose Hanako as the mother for this particular butterfly collection. The other reason is that I felt that (at the end of the Hanako Good Route) Hisao and Hanako had the potential to turn into amusingly embarrassing sentimental cuddlebugs that would do something like name their children in honor of their closest friends (and have large families).

FWIW:
  • Lily, Akira, and Shizune Nakai, triplets, are the eldest.
  • Misha Nakai is the fourth daughter.
  • Hanako Nakai, the mother, has made remarkable progress with her panic attacks. Maybe being too tired from chasing after her brood has something to do with it...
  • Hisao Nakai , the father, is now a firm believer in the feminist conspiracy... :wink:
EDIT: I've also edited my original post to try to make my concept a bit cleaner. (Think the fan fiction equivalent of 4-komas.)

This concept is awesome. Love the idea. Of Hanako and Hisao raising the 'xeroxes' ? All the support I shall give.

Thanks. These things are fun to write. Then again, I've always been a fan of short humor. I also thought about Katawa Shoujo haikus; but, the last time I attempted poetry, I was sentenced to six months probation for rhymes against humanity. So, I'll have to avoid those.

Also, imagine Shizune in Groucho Marx cosplay... :lol:

Anyway, if one's wondering how Hanako and Hisao got such a large family, here's a little "parental bonus":

====

After a long day at work, papa Nakai decides to take his mind of serious matters by retiring to his study and browsing though a copy of Kenji's Concise Guide to The Feminist Conspiracy, Vol. 42. However, he pauses his browsing when he hears the door to the study being closed and locked.

This is shortly followed by his wife whispering in his ear, "Hey, hubby. How about you give my honey muffin a of taste your manly picnic?"

Papa Nakai replies with a sappy grin, "All hail the feminist conspiracy!"
