Katawa Shoujo Forums

It's still taking me some time to get used to this whole forum experience, but I think I'm getting the hang of it little by little. I ended up going to my old Photobucket account just so I could properly display these images correctly or at least better than any monitor could display. This is everything I have done that is Katawa Shoujo related so far. In the future I will try to specifically update this topic/thread (whateves) in particular.

Feel free to throw around opinions and constructive criticism. I'm a cool guy, I can take it.

The last KS birthday is Misha, which is at the start of November, so it won't be for a while. That won't stop me from making some more fanart, because quite frankly Katawa Shoujo is the shit. Heck if you've got a good idea, let me hear it. I might just draw it up. I can't handle something too complicated, but I can always try. I get the practice and you get to see what I do.

Did this for Misha's birthday. It was kind of rushed, so I might work on it a little more. Probably not.

I like those alot, especially the 3rd one. However, the eyes on some of them... gah. It just don't work for me. The first one is probably a good example of what i mean.

other than that? the faces look a little weird in some of the pictures, and yeah so do the eyes.

I understand that Emi's eyes look strange in the first one. That's was a test, which didn't turn out well. As for the others; I don't know what to say. There is no correct way to do draw/color eyes. I also realize some of the faces are misshapen. What's done is done.

That's pretty awesome work. Very nice use of colors.

I think the picture with Shizune and her stuffed cat is my favorite.

I actually really like your art style. I don't know how long you have been drawing, but I think one day your style is going to become very unique, and I'm actually eager to see how it develops in the future! I mean, it looks like you've been drawing for a while. ouo

The first picture with Emi, I actually really like her eyes! They stand out, they're more recognizable as eyes than someone's average anime eyes, and you colored them beautifully. Nice shading on the overall picture also! I love the way you colored/drew the desk and her lips. I think there's just something about the legs; maybe size? Even with the prosthetics in mind, there seems to be something off about them. But overall, I really like the picture! It's just a really cool art style and I really appreciate it!

Lilly pic, I adore the effort you put into the background. Some folks would just leave background blue, add a wave or two in black ink, and say, "IT'S THE SEA! :U"

Emi and Rin, I love this! The shading is great, poses, etc. Coolios!

Shizune, I really like the cartoonish style Shizune is drawn in. Her head seems a bit big, but it still looks okay. I love how you colored her socks-- I think I really love your coloring style. I seriously dig it. I want to say, the way you color gives certain items interesting textures-- textures that seem tangible if that makes sense.

The rest are nice too. ouo First is my fave though. Those pretty eyes. <3

I'm happy to hear that you like some of them. I've been drawing for a many years and I'm basically self taught; with the exceptions of a few high school classes. Drawing is a hobby to me after all. I want to try adapting into a anime and manga art style or at least using both my wip style with other things. With each project I get just a little bit better or more efficient, whatever comes first. None the less, I'm glad I got to draw a bunch of Katawa Shoujo stuff and plan on drawing more.
