Saw this link on twitter just now, and immediately knew I had to bring it here:
Essentially, picture a Kinect and Oculus Rift working together to place life-sized 3D characters in front of you that can react to your 'touch', and follow you around meatspace.
Thinking about how much a 2D KS affects people, I'm kind of anxious about this tech. Even just creating VR world to keep reliving the perfect date (and date night?) in sounds more dangerous to me now then before I played KS.
If KS was an even more immersive experience, would you let your past self play it?
TL;DR: VR KS girls good/bad?

Neither. Virtual reality girls are a neutral concept. The good or bad is determined by usage and further skewed by subjective interpretation. Those who utilize them for escapism would lend to a bad perception while others might find use that lends to good.
Yes I know they already have, but for commercial use
Cross Days sounds like it needs to amp up its merchandise.

Well it looks promising. Still got a long way to go though.

Well, yeah, but it'll get here sooner than we realize. I mean, 3 years ago we didn't even have a Kinect.
I suppose it's just a matter of time... I can easily see people asking their co workers, "So, who's waiting for you at home?"
"Hanako. :3"
"Me too!"

Some freaky guys in Japan already married their digital girlfriend. If people have no desire to get involved in relationships in the first place, I guess this is a semi-acceptable substitute, but I hope people aren't gonna feel this kind of thing would be adequate training for the real thing.

Japan never fails to impress me with their technological advance in uh... unique field. In few decades we might consider having real girlfriend as life achievement. If so I might consider myself to be a "reactionary" dad who prefer having waifu in a monitor rather than have one in any kind of simulated reality. Not like I like to have waifu actually.

Arguably, a monitor waifu is in a simulated reality anyway.
