Because ... why the hell not?

I included Miki because while she might have some speaking lines, she really doesn't contribute to the plot much and only shows up briefly.

I suppose I could have also included "Parasol girl", "art room girl" or "green haired track runner" but you gotta draw the line somewhere, right?

You can't really include Rika and Saki because they aren't in the game XD (even though some people wish they were )

Sure I can! The poll is for favorite characters that don't have a role in the game, right? And by not being in the game, that means they don't have a role, right?

They're part of the fandom, so I figured I'd include them. If you don't want to vote for them, that's fine.

I just realized something. Who the hell is "Time Warp Tan"? XD

I chose Miki, Suzu, and Saki. I like them. You should have added the art room girl, I'd choose her

Looks like people like Suzu and Miki the best XD

Kind of surprised you snubbed Aoi and Keiko (i.e. the New Student Council). If you include Miki, there's certainly no reason to cut them off.

Miki all the way. I was sold on her even before she expressed her dislike towards math. She seems like a fun person to hang out with.

You can't include most of these for that reason. Pretty sure some of these aren't even named.

Also, Time Warp Tan is the moe anthropomorphization of a Ren'py (/Python) function heavily used in KS for movements and such. Meaning she actually has the greatest role of anyone in the game.

You could have added pictures of each, would make voting easier

Some sort of reference would be nice. I have no idea who most of these girls are.

Pft. No way. It doesn't matter if they never appeared in the game at all or just for a few seconds. YOU should know ALL of these sprites-who-were-never-named-or-given-personalities-in-the-game-and-are-essentially-nothing-but-fanfiction-characters by HEART, appearance and all. (I voted for Miki because she's the only name I recognize on account of being one of the few named in-game.)

@pandaphil: You know that scene in the beginning where Hisao introduces himself and we see his fellow classmates? A few of these are them. Like, Suzu is the sleepy chick. And I think some were named in blog posts that happened at some point in history or something. Some are characters who just plain aren't related to KS at all. Hitomi is a cyclops and Hachisame is an octopus girl, for example. And I only recall those for being bizarre fantasy beasts made moe. xD Really, this poll is just "Which character of vague or zero relevance to KS that was drawn by a 4LS member do you like most?" which is a weird topic in general.

But yeah, Miki's cool. I'd hang out with that chick.

Just go to the Shimmie and plug in the characters names.

If you like, I'm sure people here could suggest fanfics that star these characters. There a good handful of them that have some real quality pseudo routes people have written.

Although, frankly,if you don't know who a character is, I doubt they'd be the one you voted for anyway.

For somebody that hangs out here as much as you do,you sure seem to have a negative view on any of the additional information and general fandom of the game.

Nah. I just find a poll voting on not-really-characters of tangential if any relation to KS bizarre. For anyone to even pick a favorite, they'd have to go read a ton of fanfics or just plug names into the Shimmie and judge solely on looks. One's inefficient, the other's superficial. And even then, different fanfics write the characters differently so that adds confusion to the process... Like if someone votes for a character written different ways in different fics, they gotta add a big ol' asterisk linking the fanfic they got their version from. Someone's gotta be fairly obsessive to even know all the options.
