Upgraded OS and game stopped working

So I used to run mac 10.6 but ever since I upgraded to 10.8 several of my programs stopped working, including Katawa Shoujo. 
I have redownloaded the most recent version of KS and have had no success. I was curious if I was the only one having this problem and if not, is there going to be a patch out anytime soon?
